  1. For whatever it's worth, I booked a suite guarantee on Celebrity, which is owned by the Royal group, of course, and was just assigned my cabin. It's a Sky Suite, which is considered a junior suite. And I was given an accessible Sky Suite. I'm 100% happy with the cabin, but I knew going in what I was likely to be assigned.
  2. The news about Geriranger means I'm going before 2026. Very helpful information! And @WrittenOnYourHeart I'm sad for you about Ted Lasso. It's turned into such a beautiful show with meaningful moments. I get it, tho. Some things don't click for me, either.
  3. Do you watch Ted Lasso? If so, you know what Roy Kent would say to them.
  4. That is wild about the 130 lbs. We were on the Prima in December and I don't recall there being a minimum for the drop slides but I guess there was. My son is 6 feet tall and only now weighs 135 lbs. (Yes, skinny. One of those.) He was probably right at 130 lbs in December when he did the drop slides since he's grown a couple inches since then. They didn't weigh him. I guess when they see tall they assume you weigh the minimum. I was just grateful they didn't put me on the scales at the go karts or anywhere. Talk about humiliation. No one wants to be weighed in public!!!!
  5. I'm wondering if I should do it when I could see the aurora borealis. Which means not summer. If so, I'll have to wait until at least fall 2026 when my son begins college.
  6. My email said 100 million PUP points. I win.
  7. I was there recently with Harmony and Odyssey both in port at full capacity for spring break, so about 11,000 passengers total, and it was tough for people to find beach chairs on Breezy Bay, where I settled in, between about 10:30 am and 1 pm, but then it became easier in the afternoon. I arrived at 10 am and got two chairs in the shade, but they went pretty quickly after that. The line at the water park for the biggest slide took my son about an hour. The lines for food at the snack shack on chill island weren't bad, only took about five minutes. Overall, it was manageable and while I'd go again with two big ships, I'd prefer if it was two smaller ships, or one ship.
  8. Has anyone sailed with Celebrity to the Norwegian Fjords and want to share their experience? It sounds like a pretty amazing cruise itinerary and I'm starting my research on it. Looking at this one: Celebrity Apex,12 nights, Norwegian Fjord and Arctic Circle. I'm assuming we'd miss any northern lights going in July, but that's the only time of year we could manage it in 2024. But it seems like it would still be pretty remarkable.
  9. This makes me very angry. I remember this particular bathroom, and a lot of kids use it after the flowrider.
  10. Another consideration is northern lights. You're more apt to see them when the days are shorter, not in the middle of summer. I saw them once up near Denali in mid-september.
  11. I'm not sure what exactly this excursion is, but when we went to the Colosseum with our kids on a private tour, they were 9, 14 and 15 and they liked seeing the underground area where the gladiators used to get ready for their fights, etc. If you can tell me more about this one, I can tell you how much it is like the one we did.
  12. One user with three devices is the way to go. My son and I did one user with two devices on our recent cruise and it was fine. One user and three devices means that you can have three devices logged in at a time. When a fourth device tries to log in, it will boot one of the other three devices off the internet. Supposedly you can log off one of the other three in advance by going to a website, but it doesn't seem to work very effectively from my experience. The only "problem" since we had only two devices paid for was when I would switch from my phone to my laptop or vice versa and a third was trying to log in, it would boot him off his phone since that meant we had a third device trying to log in. He'd just log back in and I'd stay on my new device, too. I don't know why it chose him as the one to boot, rather than boot me off my phone, but it always did. So that can happen, but it's no big deal. He's a teenager and he didn't even gripe about it. I would think with three of you on the cruise you'd want three devices so that you can text each other on your phones, watches, etc. as you're on the ship.
  13. Will you know immediately if they are accepting your offer? My cruise in April was overbooked but it turned out that they weren't telling guests immediately if their offer was accepted, so some people didn't find out until 24 hours before the cruise, which made it difficult to plan.
  14. Actually, the food for specialty restaurants is priced quite high, too. Here is how I spent my money on a recent cruise: Cruise fare: $2,800 Specialty restaurants: $575 Alcohol drinks: $180 Non-Alcohol drinks: $210 I was cruising with someone under 21, so buying an alcohol drink package wasn't of interest to me since I normally don't drink more than one or two drinks a month at home and on a cruise I have one or two drinks a day at most, some days none. I love Champagne and an occasional frozen drink, and maybe an herbal-based cocktail or two. Sometimes a drink package would make sense, such as if my husband is with me, sometimes it doesn't. No one is taking advantage of me price wise on a cruise because I am making my decisions based on what I want and what will give me the best vacation experience. On my most recent cruise I wanted to step up the food quality, so I bought the Unlimited Dining Plan, as they call it on RCCL, for two people and that was more expensive than the alcohol and non-alcohol drinks we purchased. Some people would say that spending $575 extra for food is unnecessary, but my son and I really enjoyed it. And he drank more of milkshakes, sodas and other beverages on the ship than I did of alcohol, so that ran up that tab. Just sharing this as an example of how I personally chose to spend my money.
  15. I realized this after I paid more for my suite guarantee and was sent an entirely new set of lower prices for MoveUp.
  16. They're wonderful. How do you know they'll be on board all summer? I love duos like this.
  17. I've seen photos of this from one of our fellow CC members. It looks amazing!!!!
  18. I have been accused of this when it comes to garlic bread. I always forget and burn it.
  19. Looks wonderful, revolutionized on the Millennium or not. Can't wait!
  20. Preparing in advance for my cruise to Alaska on the Millennium. What is the best dessert on the ship?
  21. Wondering if I should consider bidding to move to an Aqua Sky Suite instead of a Sky Suite on M-Class. One possible benefit might be moving from an accessible cabin to a non-accessible. I see that the one open Aqua Sky Suite is non-accessible. I've heard water pools in the M-Class bathroom floor in an accessible suite. (I don't need an accessible cabin, was only given one because I booked a suite guarantee.) What are the advantages to an Aqua Sky Suite on the Millennium? The Persian Garden doesn't look that appealing as far as spas go.
  22. Did you check out of Louisville? It was only $350 one-way to Vancouver in July on Delta. I looked again and it's still affordable even for rt, just $750.
