  1. For comparison, here is Harmony, on the left, next to Odyssey, on the right, at Coco Cay earlier this month.
  2. I agree. Celebrity was in charge of the body by keeping it on board, and they were responsible for what happened. When the morgue wasn't working, they needed to do something about it, not just let the body sit in too-warm temps in the drink cooler. This is Celebrity's fault.
  3. I just booked Hoonah Whale Tours. Says the tours are limited to six people, so that's nice.
  4. When do you get to see what the menu for Le Petit Chef will be for a particular cruise? I just had $650 OBC added to my account when I switched cabins.
  5. I would love to do the Vueve Clicquot dinner. Did you know that was available ahead of time or did they tell you once you were onboard? I'm curious if it might be an option on our Alaskan northbound cruise in July. Vueve Clicquot is one of the few bubblies I can drink without getting a headache.
  6. This looks delicious. What exactly is in it? I love cucumber-flavored drinks. They're so refreshing.
  7. Does every cruise offer an array of tastings? We'll be on the Millennium for a 7-day Alaskan cruise in July and I see a few wine events on our list of options to choose from, but nothing like this. I'm quite impressed. My husband and I love wine tastings and go to Napa Valley quite regularly and are members of a few wine clubs.
  8. I'm on his live thread now. He's amazing with his posts! Thank you for suggesting it. His food pictures are remarkable. It is a shame about the roll call. I'm used to active roll calls for my cruises. This one is just full of crickets.
  9. This looks fantastic!!!!! Since I'll be a new suite guest in July, I'll have to take advantage of this, too. Yum!
  10. Our roll call is absolutely quiet. No one ever posts. I will anyway, tho, on the version on that social media site we can't mention here. 🙂 Thanks for the suggestion.
  11. And this will be our first Celebrity cruise, too. I had said that we were going to try Celebrity and see the difference in other cruise lines - we've done Carnival, NCL and Royal. This isn't a good test!!! 🙂
  12. Hey, the Ultra Deluxe is already showing available again if anyone wants it, room #8166 - I know it's a fantastic room. They are super fast updating in real time on their site, eh?!
  13. Perfect, everyone. Thanks! I just did the upgrade. It cost an extra $1,940 to switch rooms, but well worth it for all of the added benefits, including $650 in OBC, as it turned out, plus gratuities, premium drinks Wi-Fi and Luminae, etc. With that extra OBC maybe I'll book Le Petit Chef after all. 😜
  14. True! I just realized, as I sit on hold with Celebrity, that the new price also includes gratuities, so it's a better deal than I originally noticed.
  15. Thanks, both of you! I needed a bit of hand holding for this one. 🙂
  16. I ended up booking a land-based island vacation for the holidays. It seemed like a better option than a cruise since I wasn't a fan of Royal and we want to go diving and I wanted to make sure we can make it to our dives. However, that said, I did book a spring break trip for next year on Royal, as I mentioned above that I might do. I did that since spring break is about my son and he loved Royal. It's fine if I'm not a fan of the food. That just means I won't gain weight over spring break. lol.
  17. Based on all of this I've decided that while we'd enjoy Le Petit Chef, I don't think it's worth the $55 pp that it's going at right now, plus gratuities. If I had extra OBC to burn, then I'd definitely do it, but since it's out of pocket, I think I'll just wait and try it another time. Thank you for everyone's input!
  18. Sounds exciting! I see it's next year for you. I will be on my first Celebrity cruise in July this year, but on the older but much loved Millennium. I look forward to experiencing one of the newer Celebrity ships after that!
  19. My mother always said if you can't say something nice, then don't say anything at all.
  20. We are cruising to Alaska in July. I booked a Family Veranda cabin on Millennium, the one they now call the Ultra Deluxe. It has the huge corner balcony and sleeps five. It's just for my husband and myself. I switched our sunset veranda cabin to this one a few weeks ago right before I did final payment when it came available. Now I see that the Sky Suite Guarantee cabin has dropped $1,000 in price and for the same price as adding the premium drink package and Wi-Fi to my Family Veranda cabin, I can book the Sky Suite Guarantee cabin. We'd even gain an extra $600 in OBC. My question to everyone here who knows these cabins and what M-class sky cabins are like, is this a good switch or should I stay with the Family Veranda? The benefit would be getting the butler and access to the Retreat. The con would be losing that huge corner balcony. We'd Currently the suites that are available based on what I see on that website that shows you all available cabins are one aqua suite and six sky suites in the accessible category. I know others could come up before the cruise in 75 days, but this is what's currently out there. There is also one penthouse suite that's open, but the odds of getting THAT one would be super duper slim and it's not even a possibility in my mind since a lot of people would be trying for that with Move Up or whatever it's called. Oh, I'm not even sure I CAN switch after final payment, 75 days before the cruise. Maybe this isn't possible without a big penalty. Just thought of that.
  21. These are probably the same people who brag about their cement pond.
  22. I take my laptop on every vacation and cruise and don't put them in the safe. They never fit. I think some of the suites have safes where they fit. I saw that on some video reviews. But for the most part, they don't fit. I do put them in a drawer so they're not out in the open, but I don't feel they're at risk of being stolen since they're so easy to track.
