  1. There surely isn't. We've done three from there and there is nothing else like it. I could watch that webcam all day, and I think I have today LOL.
  2. Majestic is getting close! It's been fun following along. I did hear that the Solstice will be missing Lifou which is a loss (at least to me) but hopefully the Majestic will be able to make up time so that you won't miss any.
  3. Saw this snippet of the revised disembarkation instructions elsewhere. Should be chaos with luggage pickup so soon before disembarkation!
  4. We had a delayed embarkation due to a "deep clean" required in December. They said no earlier than 2 PM but they were boarding folks at noon (we couldn't get into our rooms until 4). Obviously your situation is a LOT different than our's but if the ship does get in earlier than expected you may be able to board a little bit earlier. No doubt it will be crazy though since folks need to be out of their hotels, and those arriving by plane this morning probably don't have anywhere to go. The ferries seem to be running and the skies are clearing so hopefully that is a good sign. I know they have "windows" where they can leave Sydney Harbour to provide the least amount of disruption to ferry operations. Yep, happened to us on an earlier trip when we missed that window and had to wait for rush hour to be over before we could leave! Hope you can stay at your hotel a bit longer...
  5. Oh no! Does not sound like a good ending to a lovely trip for those who expected to be disembarking this morning. Hope the weather improves soon.
  6. I thought they were sending emails now? We are 18 days out and haven't heard anything yet about the Go lounge so I was thinking of reaching out to our CVP.
  7. Actually I think it's pretty bad that folks showed up at the port for their cruise only to be told that the cruise was cancelled. I can't even imagine being in their shoes.
  8. Completely makes sense to use it in your situation.
  9. It's becoming a common occurrence with that group. SMH.
  10. This was announced yesterday, not sure when they go on sale
  11. Just love seeing "wild" Cockies and Lories. We saw these two characters in December at a sidewalk restaurant while we were walking along Circular Quay very close to the Opera House.
  12. I wonder if you can actually watch your luggage be put on the train at MCO or if you hand it in at some other point. If the latter it seems like one more risk. I can think of a LOT of things that would be game changing, this sure isn't.
  13. That first paragraph is something new. It definitely wasn't a requirement in December. So now there are two apps required for NZ travel???
  14. Note it can change. We were on the Regal last year and we left out of the Mayflower terminal and returned to the Ocean terminal. If you use the "find" feature on that link and type in Regal you'll see that they are scheduled to be at 3 different terminals according to the date.
  15. I'm sure they will change it. We had the same thing happen recently on the Enchanted Princess where the port order and Roatan port stop was changed a couple of months ago then two weeks ago the Roatan port stop location was changed again. The excursion we booked stayed and all of the excursions available for sale finally showed up in the Personalizer until yesterday. It takes them time to sort it all out so just give it a couple of weeks to resolve. I'm sure it will.

    NUTS!

Sometimes when we've stayed in a suite there is a dish of nuts covered with plastic wrap as a welcome gift. I would hope that someone with such a severe allergy that a spec on a pillow could be deadly would have to take precautions not only in cruise cabins but also hotel rooms. Nuts are an easy snack and I would guess that there could be residue in any accommodation used by multiple guests.
  17. Well this new post knocks new ports out of speculation.
  18. Looks like the Polaris lounge has upgraded their menu! The one in SFO still had the old menu in December. And I like the onboard menu you had too - haven't seen that one before either. I'm with you, I don't like the pajamas, well at least the new blue "shiny" version. The last ones were very soft and I actually wear them around the house when it's cooler here in Arizona. Lay back, relax and enjoy the flight!
  19. The Retreat pool on the Discovery is quite shallow and you would not need noodles to exercise. The main pool on Lido deck is usually quite crowded and even if you were allowed to bring noodles onboard it would be difficult to avoid wacking others with them as you exercise. As someone who does use noodles in my own pool I would have noticed if others were using them in our over 3 dozen Princess cruises. I've never once seen anyone using them on the ships.
  20. Yes, our upcoming cruise on the Enchanted has been sold out for a while as have been the ones before it. Not sure if it's the new norm but I have been noticing that some cruises do seem to be showing as sold out well before the sail date.
  21. Was just about to say the same thing! Well maybe with slightly different word but the same sentiment. There's all sorts of people in this world and on Cruise Critic too, some pleasant, others not so much!
  22. You mentioned this happened on embarkation day. Was there a Meet and Greet as well and if the person you were referring to was there did they act the same? Maybe they were joking or were having a bad day (although the latter would be rare on sailaway day). It's rare that I meet someone prior to the Meet & Greet but just like any other gathering some are as nice as they were during our pre cruise chats and others a bit distant. I hope you didn't let it affect your cruise.
