In actuality, it says 140 - 319 square feet. Itโs like the inside cabins - there are a few very large ones. Key is to look at the deck plans and choose the right OV. The largest are the HC cabins (which you donโt want if you donโt need them). Looks like 2 of us posted at the same time. Along with cruise deck plans, halfacts.com (which is a free site with contributions from CC members who have sailed in the cabins) also has pics of different cabins. the rooms have changed little (except for shower only in inside and OV) so it doesnโt make much difference how far back the pic dates to get an idea of cabin size.

yes you can fill your water bottle. You will see the machines on the wall of the Lido. You can hold your bottle down so the lip does not touch the spout. The Dive In is a popular burger/hot dog place. Itโs on every HAL ship - location varies depending on the ship but usually close to the Sea view Pool (the aft pool) -

I never had a problem getting a drink in the Lido on numerous HAL cruises. Lido has a bar as well which you can walk up to and order. Soda/pop on HAL are mostly Coke products. Itโs been that way for as long as I can remember. -

Lisa feel free to post any pics or things you would like to share if you have time here on the Daily. We enjoy everyoneโs cruises experiences - they are not all on HAL ๐ Oh Denise, what a shame to have such a neighbour ๐. Not feeling safe in your own home is no way to feel ๐ฌ. I hope you can get more support with your documentation or find a much nicer neighbourhood to move to. It doesnโt seem right that one person can force people out. ๐ก I am sending lots of vibes to Mark. I hope you can secure the job ๐ค Wow! Congrats on the ever so complimentary words ๐ Sorry to hear about your bronchitis. I hope that the doctor can help and you can recover quickly- 82 replies

Iโve don the 35 day Hawaii, Tahiti & Marquesas which ended up with more sea days than a transatlantic (couldnโt tender to some ports) and numerous transatlantics. Itโd so nice to relax and after touring around hard and enjoy. Lectures, interesting talks, wine tastings, etc or just relax and watch the wake. You get into what I call โcruise modeโ and adapt quickly to the easier way of life. I enjoy them unless thereโ was a port we were supposed to get to and canโt but you have to go with the flow ๐

Well damn. I didnโt @ you as I didnโt want you to see and be bothered again. I would have just fixed it and told you on board. There is no reason to be embarrassed at all. Ship itineraries change all the time. Itโs not your fault. I am sorry you had to change it while you are on your cruise ๐. I hope it didnโt cost $$$.. Thank you - I will wipe that off my list for the next few days. โSeaโ you soon and so looking forward to it and THANK YOU for being so dedicated โฅ๏ธ- 104 replies

I hope you had no serious damage from the wind ๐ค So very sorry to hear about your friend who has passed away at such a young age ๐ข. My condolences. Cancer is just too cruel ๐ก โSighโ. I just love a thankless job ๐ I will make note and try to change if necessary. the Fleet Report is not under my control. Ahhh, I am so sorry to hear this. It is hard when you lose your partner ๐ข Thanks Ann. I hope so too. I hobbled out and got all the stuff she instructed and am following her programmed diligently. that will just leave me with my back and leg problem. Much easier to deal with if the foot isnโt handicapping me ๐ Iโm glad to hear your DD is doing ok ๐. If your Mariner Recognition is anything like my last one, it is fantastic. I love the new menu. I am wondering if your friend Jane is our mutual friend (J & J). I know they were crossing the pond to get to London but I donโt remember the ship they were going to be on. Thank heavens you are on higher ground and escaped the flooding ๐. Glad to hear you got a bit more sleep but 5 hours is still not much ๐ thanks Vanessa. Rats on the Ipad ๐ข. I went to copy from Notes yesterday after I posted and the bolding etc didnโt hold either. The FCL and Fleet Report are on Word Press so that must be my saving grace. (Brian @POA1 was nice enough to let me use his site years ago when a CC update kept my WP from working properly). @atexsix Bruno, I posted on your thread on the HAL board and hopefully you saw it. My sincere condolences on the loss of your dear Father. You took such great care of him for so long.- 104 replies

Interested in a comparison between HAL and a Scenic River cruise?
kazu replied to 1of4's topic in Holland America Line
So sorry this has turned into a wheelchair cruise fo you, Gail. Sadly they prohibit visiting a lot of places in Europe because of the cobble stones and irregular stones as I quickly discovered. You donโt really think about it until you are dealing with one. I am so glad you can get to Keukenhof gardens. they are so beautiful and the chair should be maneuverable there. -

Good Saturday morning and thanks to Rich, Roy, Vanessa, Ann, Dixie & Debbie. Great collection of days and love the Langtry quote. The meal sounds yummy - no Swiss chard though so maybe I will have fish and Chips. No appointments since itโs Saturday but I do have errands to do to purchase things the foot nurse specialist wants me to use. She was very thorough - far more than the podiatrist - spent an hour and 1/2 with me tending to the feet. In a nutshell - what the podiatrist said was healed is not and other diagnoses were incorrect. Julia has taken care of a number of things and is confident that the infection should clear in a few days with the new protocol and I will hopefully be pain free before Friday. Itโs a long list which I donโt want to bore you with but the podiatrist is lucky Iโm not litigious & I am lucky I went to the nurse. There will be more to do when I get back but I am good to go. The sun is actually shining - itโs a surprise. If it stays that way, I will hobble out to the back yard when I get back and do some more clean up. Itโs hard to find it all in snow and ice ๐ Prayers for those on the Care list, those suffering losses, grief, pain, health issues, worries & those that need them ๐ Cheers to those celebrating & cruising ๐ฅ- 104 replies

Welcome to the Daily ๐. No need to lurk any longer - please post again and join us ๐ It worked for me this morning on both the Fleet Report & BV thread. I hope it does for you, too. Iโm with you on the Ipad. What I got only for cruising is my go to very day. the only thing I use my laptop for is the spread sheets now for certain things. Oh Terri - I am so very sorry to hear about your friend, Anita and sadder that you discovered from the obituary. ๐. She is in my prayers as are you as you suffer the loss of a dear friend ๐ Go for the referral Sandi. It canโt hurt to take that one extra step and may solve the problem. I hope you can be helped ๐ค -
Question about Neptune Suites on the Volendam
kazu replied to Low Country Sandlapper's topic in Holland America Line
The only noise you can hear (depending on your location) is when the deck chairs are taken down at night and put back up in the morning. the other is the sound of the cars in the Lido Market. Iโve been in NSโs on several ships where they are under the LIdo deck and we never had an issue with noise - but I tried to choose carefully. Iโll be on the Volendam in a week and will certainly report any issues in my live thread. -
Oh Bruno, I am so sorry to hear this ๐. My condolences to you and your family. I pray that the many good memories you have will help sustain you now and in the future.

LOL my hearing is very sharp. Perhaps thatโs the issue. I donโt like a lot of noise. My hearing hasnโt dulled yet. ๐ Each to their own. I didnโt hear anyone argue at our table about the intolerable noise. We were all in agreement and said thank heavens we have CO. I was on the Koningsdam for 19 days and the Roterdam for 15. I only went to the MDR a very few times and after a lunch, dinner and Marinerโs reception I was one and done.
