Sorry if I missed it Gail, but are the services you are offered by your steward/bulter standard on Scenic. Do they call every room a suite or did you book a special category to obtain this? It sounds lovely. Very impressed on how they approached the dietary requirements 👍 The chairs with the 3 legs are in the lounge? Are they comfortable? It nearly looks like they could tip like the old office chairs. Sounds like you are off to a terrific start 👍

Definitely report it. In the case of our cruise, the parties making the complaint did get an answer and the “service” dog (it was one but not properly trained) was no longer allowed in the Lido after several accidents (why I say it was not a fully trained service dog). The passengers who complained were advised so they could report IF it showed up. There were 3 service dogs on our European cruise - including the famous Joska who holds a platinum medallion. Joska is ‘retired’ but accompanies the owners as their new dog is still in training. Both dogs behaved beautifully and it was a delight to see them asked up at the Medallion ceremony for a special picture. I had a couple of nice moments when they were ‘released’ so I could lather a bit of love on them. The other dog was a service dog with an owner with a legitimate need but it was not properly trained and accounted for the issue I mentioned above. She was a sweet dog and in most cases very good but it was obvious from her indiscretions she was not fully/properly trained.

I keep praying for things to improve for you 🙏 thanks Terry - she thinks it will be good for it - especially with the warmer weather for the first all too few days. I’m from Canada so my definition on cold and someone from the South are probably different 😉 We found the weather “nice”. First few days are quite warm and then it has still been nice - 60’s usually. Early morning (like 6 AM) is cool and needs a sweater, jacket or towel.

Podiatrist can’t do much for the pain in my foot but it’s good for it to travel she says. She wants me to get a referral to a vascular surgeon 😬 Then I spent a few hours scrambling and re-planning when Air Canada changed our return flight. Looks like we will have to fly to Moncton and drive home unless we want to travel for 7.5 hours to get home on what is less than a 2 hour flight. GRRR. The direct flight to here has disappeared on our return date for some unknown reason. Lots more appointments to cram in before I leave. I think you have hit the nail on the head. My experience on the K with a lot of Mexican stops was not at all like my experience on the Rotterdam transatlantic - nor the Oosterdam. Service was decent and On the Ooosterdam superb. I am looking forward to returning to the Volendam in a few days and the Oosterdam in the Fall. I will be reporting and call a spade a spade 😘 I have seen some good additions as of late taking us back a smidge to what is expected. I don’t think you will see it on a 7 day cruise where it is rush, rush, rush - but on the longer itineraries, I think (hope) it is still there as I have seen.

The number was still good for me in February when I booked 3 M & G’s with two different co-ordinators.

I never got to the Pacific Princess - I so wanted to. I did a number of Collectors cruises on the Prinsendam and while that ship had a few more than 600, I found the service and food top notch. In fact they could have taught the O ship I was on a few things 😉 😂 Prinsendam was dignified but not sedated - If she were sedate, the Crow’s Nest sure wasn’t when we all shut it down with our piano man 😊 You hit the nail on the head. Our cruise on O was definitely sedated and the crew were very ambivalent. It was a big disappointment for us. We thought we had moved up - not. Trust me, I got flamed on my LIVE thread once I started pointing out stuff. I tell it like it is on all of them - whether it be HAL or any other cruise line.
