Aqua Sky Suites on the Beyond have Luminae as their dining room. Just like others booked in suites they can dine in Blu on a space available basis.
What Aqua Sky Suites get vs other SS is access to the Sea Thermal Suite, free fitness classes, some discounts on spa services and a few marketing fluff items.I'm aware of that, was just passing on the info about the three or four people. This change will mean more kids in Luminae and Blu.

We did an 9 day cruise on Royal from Cape Liberty which meant it left on a Thursday. It took us close to 3 hours to get to Bayonne from Nassau County during morning rush hour traffic. I told my wife we could flown to Florida and been at the port in that time.
I think you guys are forgetting you have to drive to one of the NY/NJ airports perhaps under the same traffic conditions.

A few weeks ago I did a phantom booking on the Beyond trying to put three people in an AQ Suite. I was unable to do so with the booking saying like other AQ cabins it was limited to two people. I made a comment on Cruise Critic to that effect. Today, I noticed under the amenities that the description of the AQ suite cabins said they sleep up to four. Did another phantom booking and now you can book three or four people. May cause more kids in Blu, some will not like that.

I’ll clarify… if you go looking to find the worst in people, you’ll be sure to find it. But what would I know, I’m an intense, super wired, and obnoxious Jerseyite.
I’m also from Jersey, spent 60 years in North Jersey and South Jersey. I’m sure you are not obnoxious.

Go looking for a problem and you’re sure to find one.
With all due respect, wife and I are both retired LEOs and that is so far from the truth.

This thread making generalizations about people from different states and areas is highly subjective and will likely degenerate at best. Maybe a quick end to it would be the best.
I reported the thread this morning

Thanks everyone, appreciate the responses, forgot about the increase in points but we’ll never get near Zenith.we are looking at Edge.

Besides space any benefits of Sky suite vs Celebrity suite. I know higher suites get benefits but just can’t see any benefit to Celebrity suite.

The Celebrity Suites are on Deck 11 so we’ll above any smoking area.
Entirely the point, the smoke goes up.

DW and I are planning to book an Australia/NZ cruise in an Edge Celebrity Suite. Our preference is to book the port side, as it should be facing shore most of the time, but we are concerned about possible noise from Luminae. Anyone have any first hand experience in the Celebrity Suites located directly below Luminae?
Thanks.
We never book port side since all the smoking areas are on the port side, read too many complaints of cruisers veranda time being spoiled.

What is a concierge embarkation lunch?
They set up a lunch on embarkation day for Concierge patrons in the MDR. Since the MDR is not open on embarkation day it was a perk.

Care to expand on what you mean?
There was a problem in the past couple of years with MS-13 moving into the area with increased crime.

I just did a mocking booking. The room I chose stated $2612 a person
I did no add ons. When I get to the confirmation page my per person rate has now jumped up to $3720
less the 50% for second guest $1860.
What a rip off.
I did mock booking for my cruise next year on Edge in a suite, as a reference I already did it about a month ago with the 20 % off and did really well. Mock booking on 50% would get me another $400 in savings. Email already in to TA

If you have a drink package there is no need to bring your own. Available at any bar

Keep in mind also that Luminae is your primary dining room for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
-
Over the years the removal of those restaurants has been viewed as universal bad move by the people on Cruise critic.

Tuesday for a Friday debarkation, Wednesday for a Saturday debarkation.
I have seen it be different on different ships, not to worry though its usually on the coupon.

For Luminae you need to be in a suite, normally food and service is excellent.
We really enjoyed Le Petit Chef , extremely interesting show , food was good there is two menu and you can order off both , we didn’t like steak on primary menu so we picked chicken on alternate, we have done this in the past and will do it again.
steak restaurant was very nice also prime rib was huge, was able to get a seat where we could see and hear music which was playing below by the martini bar.
As stated you have to be in a suite to eat in Luminae. FYI, Evening Chic (formal) does not apply in Luminae, Blu or the Specialty Restaurants only the MDRS. Some will definitely dress up but the dress code for Luminae is smart casual every night.

Don,
I didn't know who Sgt. Johnson was, but having noticed him in your signature I researched his story. Thank you for remembering him and his service. Not sure if he's family or friend to you. Prayers to his family either way, all these years later.
Thank you, my beloved nephew

Perhaps some should watch the news and see what's going on in this country. I just yesterday completed a two week trip to Florida in which we drove. Every fast food place we stopped had various issues. Ever see a Dunkin Donuts close at 1PM because they can't get help, wait 45 minutes at a KFC drive thru when you are the 6th car.(inside was closed as were many other places.) I could go on and on but this was seen from PA to Florida in every state. Same goes for hotels and any place where help is needed. If anyone thinks this is not effecting the cruise industry and Celebrity, I have a bridge for you to buy in Brooklyn.

Never seen the steaks laid out with the name tags but they've actually had some of these steaks for several years. You had to know where to find them, they were in back of the buffet in the grill area, had a ribeye on Summit two years ago and a steak at that grill on Silhouette four years ago.

Change with AQ Sky suites
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted
I was wondering why they did them again, they did them when the reflection was introduced and then in a couple years reverted them back to sky suites.
