  1. I’ve never seen the 25% FCC show up in the account. NCL staff can see it though. The FCC for the Prima was actually there on Monday as promised. I know because my PCC emailed me to say it had arrived (and others have confirmed getting theirs).
  2. I have had lots of late departure times and it has never impacted the time that they start boarding. Boarding should start at the same time as it would for now earlier departure. It does, of course, give you the option of boarding later than you usually do. Just make sure you are there more than two hours before departure (and follow any specific instructions).
  3. I haven’t followed shore excursion prices, but I’ve never seen any marketing about sales on them and whenever I do look the prices seem to be the same. The dining upgrade is very new, but the normal packages never go on sale, so I don’t see any reason why this would.
  4. We got a 25% FCC for cancellation of a cruise that was booked for September 2023, so it really is quite random what they will give you. That was the same as we got for one cancelled 4 months out and more than we got for some others during covid.
  5. Yes, I have a cruise next voucher that shows at a different value on the app and the website. It is one that got split due to a cancellation, and to be honest I'm not sure what the correct value is. My PCC is waiting to hear back from the CruiseNext department. With all these cancellations it has got very confused.
  6. People on a shore excursion meet (usually in the theatre) and are allocated into groups before heading off to their transport. The first groups of shore excursion passengers will head off a while after the ship has docked and people are able to get off. If you are doing your own thing you can easily leave before the shore excursions do. As stated above, tender ports are different, and it can take a while to get off.
  7. Yes, self assist can leave at any time. Unless you are in a suite, or have Gold (or above) latitude status then its the quickest way off.
  8. You will be able to leave very soon after 6am, especially if you are willing to carry your own bags off. The ship will arrive before 6am and there is no immigration involved as you will have come from another EU port (probably Italian). I would work to 7am to allow for any delays.
  9. That is exactly the reason for the rule, and I agree that there is less need for it in this instance. However, I have heard a few times of people asking and being told no. I don’t recall them ever having said yes. I’m sure that they have done, and could do in this case, but I know what I would expect the answer to be.
  10. You did used to get reservations for 3 occasionally, often in specific restaurants. For example I have a couple of confirmations from the Spirit where all were for 3, other than the Italian where we booked 3. This was back in 2019. On the POA all of them were for 3. Only even numbers were available on our recent cruise.
  11. When I first meet my room steward, I just talk to him and let him know if there is anything that we particularly need. Worked for me every time.
  12. Agreed, it never hurts to ask, but keep your expectations realistic. It would be very unusual for them to make an exception on this.
  13. No, the dining package isn’t transferable, so you can’t use it in that way.
  14. They could also mean Q. It depends on which of those two restaurants is on the oy on zag. 🙂 I actually like La Cucina a lot. I’d still rank it below Moderno though, as that could possibly be my favourite. Edit: looking at posting history we seem to be talking about the Joy, so the bbq place is Q. I’ve not yet been on a ship with that restaurant, so can’t comment on what it is like.
  15. This wasn't the inaugural. It was the sailing before the christening, and there would have been none of the fuss that people associate with an inaugural. The people who originally booked the inaugural sailings are still on them. As for supply chain issues, I work in the steel industry, and supply issues are major at the moment. Many people don't know this. but a huge amount of steel used in Europe comes from Ukraine, as well as many other products. Supply is a huge issue at the moment in many industries.
  16. We used taxis for the three main journeys (airport to city, city to port and port to airport). The taxi from the city to the cruise port was very easy, especially on a Sunday morning. I think it cost €25.
  17. There is a ship wide kids menu. It is the same in the specialities as in the MDR. I haven’t seen a copy for a while, but it will probably come up if you Google NCL kids menu.
  18. I’m not aware of anywhere that isn’t charged the gratuity on this.
  19. I posted the dailies from last weeks Jade cruise on here recently. Should be on the first few pages of the forum. I think we only had one show a night, so that could change for you if the ship gets busier. Edit: here’s the link.
  20. If you plan on getting anything like this on NCL then just get it. The price isn’t coming down, but it could go up.
  21. I decided to go ahead and book, even though it is likely that prices will fall nearer the time. I have a 25% off voucher that needs using by 31st May, so we got a good price anyway. Hope you have a good time. I love the Baltics. People make the mistake of thinking that it is all about St Petersburg. I love many of the ports there and we will be back soon. We've not been on the Dawn before, but have sailed on the Star and we enjoyed it. It misses a few things that the Jade has like Spinnaker, The Great Outdoors and the bars on deck 6, but I'm looking forward to it.
  22. 15th September. I just checked your posts and it looks like you are a few weeks before us.
