  1. So sorry to hear this. I hope you both get your negative tests asap. Thanks for posting here, it’s a good warning to us all.
  2. I think this may be in their imagination. I’m sure staff would do their best but if you turn up when they are full, there would be no hope of them ‘fitting you in’. Best to book as soon as possible on embarkation day!
  3. Booking our nights in the speciality restaurants is the first thing we do once onboard. There’s a reservation table just inside the main entrance to Windows on Deck 9.
  4. Certainly Azamara provided a free shuttle into Ravenna when we docked there before COVID. Maybe the best thing is to wait until you get onboard then ask about shuttles.
  5. It will likely be a mixture. It depends on whether there are guest artists on board and how many cruises they are on board for. Certainly it’s likely that some shows will be repeated.
  6. Across Cruise Critic forums, members have been sharing their experiences during these unprecedented times - telling us how life is for them in their locality, so we thought it might be a good idea to set up such a topic within the various cruise line ‘communities’. Please post here to let us all know how things are for you.
  7. I am maintaining this sticky topic and a spreadsheet, for people who are willing to post their upgrade bidding experience to help us all. If you’re happy to do so could you please let us know the following: - bid date - cruise date - cruise length - loyalty level - minimum bid required for upgrade (in US$) - total amount bid (in US$) - cabin type initially booked - cabin type bid for - final bid cost per night (in US$) - bid strength - outcome (successful or not) - cruise region - any other useful information (E.g when told about outcome) Here’s a link to the spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1pEoojQ5-EPmD4cI3gw1dVcYfYTXfZePdDXxU09l0H3M/edit
  8. [Host Jazzbeau: Since I can't add a post above this first one, I am editing it to add the link to the Tips for Azamara Newbies spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15Deg-GaeZYLml8NN3PVwoh_jUkQ8QmYUe1wxnVAlODE/edit#gid=0 Thanks to @Grandma Cruising for keeping the spreadsheet up to date!] It was suggested that it might be a good idea to have a ‘sticky’ thread which had tips for cruisers new to Azamara, so here goes. White Night - Azamara Cruises normally include a ‘White Night’. This is an on-deck party, with a buffet served from the Patio area. Most people wear white clothing (though this is not required). Speciality Restaurants- good idea to make your bookings as soon as you board. There is sometimes a bookings table in the terminal building and always one inside the entrance to Windows buffet. Dining Packages - the speciality restaurants are $30pp, but you can buy dining packages at a ‘bargain’ price - for example 3 meals for $70pp. Cocktails - the list of included cocktails is only intended as an example of the available cocktails, you can ask for any cocktail to be made with the included spirits. Breakfast drinks - you can ask for a Bloody Mary and/or a Mimosa (Buck’s Fizz) for breakfast and you can have a smoothie made to your own tastes. If you like ginger ask for an ‘Energiser’ at breakfast - it’s a small smoothie which has ginger in it and is (unsurprisingly) very energising! Stateroom fridge - the sodas in the fridge are included, the alcoholic drinks are not. You can ask your stateroom attendant to get you the sodas you like to keep in your fridge. Bringing alcohol on board - you can bring alcohol on board to drink in your stateroom. If you want to drink it in a public room there is a $10 corkage charge. Please add your own tips, so we can get a really good information thread for all those going on their first Azamara cruise. Sent from my iPad using Forums
