I have been cruising with carnival since 2006 and don't remember ice buckets ever being filled without asking. I think a lot of people are making a big deal out some of the Carnival cut backs. Some of these things are not a big deal. Do you really need twice daily room cleaning and turn down service. Plus the other cruise lines, RCL, NCL are doing the same things.

you do not get any casino points for the texas hold em poker. You do use your sail and sign card and this creates a poker account. This account is different than your casino account. So if you play table games and slots and poker you need to cash out both accounts. You can load money on the card with cash at the cage or from your sail and sign account. Every once in a while the casino host will come by and buy drinks for the table playing poker.

When I was there in November of 2019 they took them down because of the hurricane Dorian. I guess they haven't put them back up yet?

Yes, 11:01 Central time. I usually log in and select the arrival time, and then wait till the next day to finish the rest of check in.

I have been to one show at Jerryworld, ATT Stadium, and it was horrible. The sound echoes inside because it is so big. this was a few years ago, Guns and Roses. I hope you have better sound.

Exactly why we got the extra room keys the second time.

You will be platinum on the first day of the cruise. However, if this is a Journey's cruise there is no priority boarding as most on the cruise will be platinum and diamond. You can still check in to the cruise at 16 days to try and get one of the early boarding times.

We have done it both ways. One time guest services printed us new sail and sign cards. no extra keys. The second time we just got extra keys so 2 people had to carry a sail and sign card and the extra room key.

I wear dress pants and long sleeve button up to elegant night. However, I would prefer they did away with having to dress up so I can wear shorts with a polo shirt and flip flops. What others wear doesn't bother me at all.

Thanks. We did book with a private helicopter company that will pick us up at the port. They are flying over the Jurassic water fall. They land at the waterfall on some flights, however, not on Sundays when we are there. I am glad they have a seafood shack type. I only eat the fried Shrimp. My DW likes the crab legs.

Even I have had great service at the table games with drink on us and I usually only water with maybe one alcohol drink per day. I do tip a $1 per water. I find the servers will seek me out.

Does anyone know where they play the movies on the Miracle?

Some ships have a 10 and 12 seat table but they are limited. When my DW and I go by ourselves we had no problems getting a private table for 2 using Your time dining there is an option in the Hub app to select shared or not shared table. Not sure how set dining time works.

Thanks for the review. I am doing this cruise next month. I hope we don't have any issues with cancelling a port. I have a helicopter tour scheduled for Kauai. Someone said at the Lido buffet there is a section where they have sea food items for sale, similar to the Seafood Shack on other Carnival Ships. Did you happen to notice? Also, did they have more than one Heads Up Hold Em table?

I prepaid a massage for my DW on our upcoming cruise. I will definitely be looking at my on board charges closely after her massage. Thanks for the heads up. I hope you get it resolved.

I like Mr. Sanchos beach. They have an all inclusive side and an Al carte side. the all inclusive side you can make reservations ahead of time. They also have massage tents if you want a massage.

what about having to make reservations before you get on the ship? I don't like to plan things out ahead of time and stick to a schedule. How does that work with restaurants?

You are correct, there are not any private beaches. That is why they cannot stop the parade of people trying sell you something or beg for money.

Yes, there is lots of restaurants and shopping within walking distance from the port. I know you said no beach, but you can walk to the beach also. Right past Margaritaville.
