  1. If it's RT from the same US port it only has to be a foreign port. But if it leaves from one US port and returns to another it needs to visit a distant foreign port. As far as I know the act was only suspended for the 2021 season.
  2. What's interesting is Cunard has this itinerary listed in their featured new voyages. But it is an itinerary they can't actually sail. They would need to visit a distant foreign port to sail from one US city to another.
  3. It's interesting San Juan is getting 2 Radiance class ships over the winter.
  4. That's another possibility. Royal Caribbean is starting to put Oasis class ships on the 3/4 day cruises. I could possibly see Carnival putting one of the Excel class doing 3/4 day cruises to compete. Or maybe even one of the Vista class ships.
  5. The problem with substituting La Paz for Cabo is the distance. La Paz is farther than Cabo so they couldn't make it work with one sea day.
  6. It would have to be something similar to this like NCL does with some of their Mexican Riviera cruises. You end up with a short visit to Mazatlan.
  7. One of the problems I see putting the 4th Excel class in Long Beach is Cabo. They would either have to do a Puerto Vallarta/Mazatlan/Ensenada cruise or start tendering with the Excel class ships. And then if they continue doing the 6/8 day rotation as they are going to start doing with the Panorama, where do they go for the 6 day cruises if they can't tender in Cabo?
  8. Yeah they do. I just got off the Celebration. The wall has open coolers for beverages and where the beverage cooler is here they have grab and go food.
  9. This happened to me too on my next cruise. I called and spoke to someone and after they put me on the waitlist, it showed that I was on it.
  10. Hopefully 7,000 pax is the max capacity with 3rd and 4th berths.
  11. https://carnival-news.com/2023/10/05/carnival-cruise-line-opens-new-deployment-from-long-beach-and-adds-more-variety-in-cruise-options-from-the-west-coast/ What's interesting is that Carnival won't operate the regular 7 Day Mexican Riviera anymore and instead the Panorama will do 6/8 Day Mexican Riviera cruises.
  12. It's weird because my birth date is fine. It's my girlfriend's that is messed up. On the website (where you can change it), its correct as 8/23, but on the app (where you can't change it), its listed as 8/22. So when I try to upload her passport in, it won't let me because the birth date doesn't match.
  13. Has anyone had their birthday appear incorrect on the app but it's correct on the guest information form on the website? Its off by a day on the app but you can't change it.
  14. Based on the deployment flyer, I'm not seeing any Bermuda cruises on the Vision for early 2025.
  15. I have only cruised Carnival so far, but I just booked an 11 day Alaska cruise on the Crown Princess. I paid less for the cruise in a mini suite than a 7 Day Carnival Alaska cruise in a balcony.
  16. The Sun Princess is only slightly smaller than the Excel class ships. The Sun Princess is 175,000 tons and the Excel class ships are 181,000-183,000 tons. The Sun Princess does have a smaller passenger capacity (4,300 vs. about 5,300), but if Carnival was to build a Sphere class ship it would more than likely have a much higher pax capacity than the Sun Princess.
  17. I normally use safari, but I just checked using chrome and it shows the correct dates now. Interesting how that is.
  18. Has anyone noticed that on the search function it shows one date, but then when you go to explore the itinerary, it shows another date? For example this cruise, it shows it leaves on Thursday July 4, but when you go into the specific date by clicking explore this itinerary, it shows it leaves on Friday July 5. I've noticed this on multiple cruises.
  19. Here are the menus for the 8 day cruise. There is still lobster and prime rib. https://freestyletravelers.com/blog/carnival-mdr-updated-menus
