  1. hope you don't mean me.. not makibg fun of anyone. We had a SS on Beyond using up our cancelled cruise fcc. It was a nice stateroom but our Butler was annoyingly helpful. Luminae was disappointing compared to BLU....Best perk was early boarding and disembark. One and done at any price! We have had several of our cruise expectations dashed without notice: After years of accruing loyalty points from our cruises, we lost access to the lovely Diamond Lounge on Royal C to suite guests. We also lost E plus access Michael,'s Club, am and pm as it became a Suite Retreat. We lost the evening Captains Club get together...replaced by drinks at bars. We lost Priority Boarding for E plus/AQ. Lost daily water and canapes in AQ Class. Often made us feel we wasted our money by being loyal to X over many yrs. We have adjusted to the reality that the focus changed to cater to suites over loyalty guests. Hopefully, future pricing will reflect the loss of a Butler!
  2. We made our situation known back then. Sometimes an inflated sense of self importance goes to someone's head... He forgot we were the paying guests..and his job was to make us happy! Not well suited to be a a maitre d. Had no such issues in BEYOND and hopefully none will crop up on ASCENT
  3. glad you made it home without issues.....maybe you can speak with JET BLUE about having to take a middle seat when you paid extra for a better one???? hope you find peace and comfort in your memories...and future happiness! Cruises are a good way to heal and re- set..

  8. reality today Those who wanted, expected and paid for a BUTLER will have to suffer without one. It is unfair, but that's how it is for now. Current X spin makes that clear. .Registering complaints should continue..maybe they will reverse course, but unlikely. This is more than Cookies! Over the years most of the BIG changes that made folks unhappy have remained in place. Only the Zeniths have recently been somewhat successful. Reality is that for future cruises customers will have to pay more upper suites....for what used to be included in Sky Suite
  9. when we sailed on Beyond from Port Ev..in Nov, there were no treats or even enough seats in the fairly sterile lounge area that had been so widely talked about...only water, soda, beer and other drinks...not even bar snacks. When announcement to board was made it was the same free for all as in gen boarding..No escorts, no bubbly! our Butler did smother us...we prefer privacy

  11. what is going to be done in Drydock for EQ..We would go back if the ship is freshend and updated. yes...REf nightclub has no full panorama view. I believe it was choppdd up to make suites

We have a paired Villa in Fl..(shared roof) but luckily we & our neighbors have done things together over the years. Now their side is up for sale We .hope to get equally nice folks next door!   14. been on all 3..but yrs ago. we liked Ref the least due to the layout and the Miami DJ vibe..back then. On Ref Spa and Solarium were on diff levels making it a pain to go back and forth but the thermal suite was nice. We did not like the large circular bar aft .It cut the aft area in half..hard to enjoy music out there for that reason and many loud bar stool hogs. Very crowded area in general with all the extra lounging seats. The itin would be the best way to pick. But as mentioned only 2 have Lawn Club Grill and Porch. We are booked on Silho for a short cruise..reviews have been good.
  15. cozumel very strict too..sometimes the guards have guns and ammo belts..always happy to be back on board!
  16. we did not book a package..just indiv venues.. dates and times we wanted E + can get a discount for Specialty but we'll use that for lunches
  17. Unless it's my card. If it were mine, I would be at Guest Rel to have chgs removed and file a complaint. And would stay away from that bar.. We check our acct each morning and will be on the alert for this sloppy practice!
  18. we did that on EDGE months in advance yet the nasty maitre in Fine Cut still tried to bump us to a much later time without notice.. We found this out a day ahead when we went to confirm.. The much later time did not work for us, and he refused to budge..Also got quite testy when we told him to cancel the res. Eventually he relented as the scene got louder. We cancelled the remainder of our specialty dining res to avoid any further insult! Found out this happened to others in EDEN on EDGE..they split family group of 6 into 2 at diff times. They also cancelled! We will try Fine Cut on ASCENT on boarding night .and confirm all our other res
  19. . same with calling a credit union, bank or any similar call center set up..working from home. the barking dog and baby in background are a tip- off to divided attention.. i keep those calls short. we have been lucky with X reps
