We generally over-tip everywhere on land. People are working hard at service jobs. They are.doing it to earn money not just for fun and we ususlly have great servers On the ship, we have cut back a bit due to the "pooling" issues. In BLU we will now give to maitre d for his team! Sep for sommelier. Not sure what we'll do when we next have the 4 mdr plan..try for same servers ??? at a bar we tip extra as we go..

I get the bait and switch anger.....but big time suite amenities and butlers are relatively recent additions to cruising. Folks used to be happy with shuffleboard and a midnight buffet! Times have certainly changed!

surprised there is Controversey.. Is it the money or a failure to renew on time? we even take our Passports with us to Fl..We have the enhanced licenses but with Passports, we can then take advantage of any extra trips out of US that may pop up. also if there is a sad event in a cruise port..the ship security can access passports in the safe to assist with trvl..etc Unwise not to have one!

Hope they still show the itin map. We take a tv screen shot each day..to sep photos for each day! There is/ was a nice large map on an easel near guest rel where folks can see and follow the route as well...Older ships used to have great map/ atlas collections in the libraries..dusty but interesting!

Very nice apt for your pre cruise stay! Hope you enjoy every minute but relax a bit too! Beware of pickpockets in Rome! Keep passports, paperwork and money safe. Sal has a safe pack for under his clothes.. I use the " bank of bra"

We trust long time frequent X cruisers who have been on all the ships over the years... some we have sailed with and been with on roll calls Their opinions and reviews carry great weight. Much more than video producers and internet influencers. The current experience for many is not as great as it used to be, but many still enjoy cruising on X..we do. There is some gen agreement about Infinity being shabby... and an overall decline in mdr food quality..hopefully improving!

That sounds great but not what the ship offered OP.. They are better off with the Aloha Plan!

they used to have some British tv game type shows different from US TV .... and maybe some real TV shows ongoing. Waste of the smart screen tv when nothing is on..

Res suggested for all Specialty dinner Rest. Book ahead on the cruise planner for times you prefer! The Grand Bistro( as opposed to The LPC) is great for lunch on boarding day or a day you will eat lite for dinner. Excellent soups, wine service food etc. Lovely atmosphere and view.. Worth the upcharge.! We also liked RAW ON FIVE..which much more than a Sushi Restaurant. Great apps, Steak etc and some amazing rolls. Go early, fills up fast! We are trying EDEN and FINE cut for the first time on ASCENT.. so can't comment. FINE CUT overlooks the Martini Bar area so hope to avoid noise drifting up! if your E ship has a World Class Bar, def try it!

Why not wait til you board.. if a spa treatment is not possible, maybe you could do mani pedis in the salon..or get mom dtr massage in one of your ports.. It is what it is!

guess the location was changed since we were on EDGE and BEYOND. We like either space but TUSCAN has such a special atmosphere that goes with the breakfast style.. great art Fellini decor, ital music . We are assigned to BLU on ASCENT but will def enjoy TUSCAN (and Cyprus) on APEX after that.

How did you apply the fcc to your cruise account? There should have been an fcc # on the actual Certificate , and a tel no to call to apply. it to a future booking. we did ours through the special phone # and received a confirmation, (I think.).it was awhile ago..

Tuscan on E Class is one of the 4 mdrs..that's where we had the Elite Breakfast on EDGE and BEYOND. Heard that more recently it has veen served in the Grand Bistro area..very nice atmosphere..great views. EDEN cafe is open to all for bkfst and lunch..cafe style
