  1. agree.. used to be 3, then 2 .. then covid zeroed it all out. Now have 3 booked..Ascent Silhouette and APEX..
  2. just making a suggestion! I sm sure Charla will be giving her own hints!
  3. sounds like it will be a fun review! (Also interested in suite perspective from Bnurick.) We cruised the Mex Riv itin once on Royal C..Radiance..yrs ago; Had a great ABC Island Halloween Cruise ..can't recall which ship or cruise line, but the big party was on ARUBA overnight. Loved the door decor, food carvings and amazing Costumes! DJ open deck party and also great after parties. Curious as to your Jan Ascent date..We are booked Jan 28th.. Still living on LI..with downtime in Fla.
  4. too funny! looks like deck 3 and 4 have diff hrs and diff menus??? what type of fish? we never bother with the app easier to check the posted menus
  5. Thanks for the update. Great review underway.. as always. You both look great ..love that dress (great color for you) and Jeremy's tie. Hint to Jeremy..something Emerald and gold for the neck and earrings would be perfect for that stunning dress! some of the jewelry shops were willing to deal! Food looks very appetizing..compared to some food pics posted by others (mdr..sad!) can you give more info about the Jazz Joint in the Club?
  6. good to have choices..many pop in after an early more hearty meal!
  7. Still a great area but it is getting overbuilt...esp with tall buildings, super shopping malls, and the SRQ expansion.. Many service workers rely on tips but lately the "outreach" efforts in some restaurants and take out spots are over the top! cruise ships make it easy to auto tip and add where needed..at the bar, ladies rm for a clean towel, someone who goes out of the way to help!
  8. With your reservations, worries and trepidation, I think you will add too much stress on your life before and during this trip, if you go ahead. Plan something closer to home and less stress -inducing and save this cruise for less worrisome times(?) If you go forward you will have to get over your hesitation.
  9. usually there is a Cap Club welcome event in its place...usually not always!
  10. I hope you can change. Summit has some quirky cabin issues. One time, 15 day RT Hawaii we had a regular cabin next to a suite. Our balc was tiny & pie shaped (room for one seated or two only standing)..looking right into a suite next door. Was not marked as limited.. Our TA had no idea! We could not switch, but as soon as we got home, we were able to change out the same cabin set up on a future cruise. Good luck
  11. We have seen folks pulled off the line for this coming into US in Florida. Can cause you long delay plus a fine. Carefully check and follow the rules. There are places in the islands where u can buy food to take to a beach or outdoor beach restaurants with picnic tables. Enjoy!
  12. whats the itinerary? Jim..thanks for the pics u posted.
  13. many get a drink or 2 at the start of the cocktail hr or a bit later..and then head to dinner. I don't think it's intended that folks stay and drink for the full time. many have drink packages anyhow. use of the perk in the dining rm would slow things down quite a bit..slow as it is now!
  14. Suggest you just call the gen number and work with the person who answers or calls you back. There are usually good records made of past issues & discussion. No one is forced to use the suggested planner unless you want to.. We tried it twice..the person was never in, never called back or e mailed a response..and was re- assigned giving us no notice . It was a waste of time for us..they are just reps not like a travel agent you pay. Some folks have used same person for yrs but it is not needed.
  15. maybe you can take out coffee from the Elite breakfast..never saw anyone leave with a drink....but maybe? in general, It's a lite breakfast not bar to go event! corkage fees apply at dining
  16. that's a very high mark up.. Coach is sold at most major Dept Stores, online and at Outlets..great outlet in San Juan with current stock!
  17. or that of another stereotyped generalization that Celeb caters to the: "American contemporary palate. The food is not imaginative. Think Americanized and made with cheaper ingredients for mass production. Is it too late to cancel?"
  18. I have acquired a nice collection of "new sale" cruise handbags; and also have a few nice Gucci..love them ! Now I am mostly retired & not needing more. A good bag lasts a very long time.. I personally disliked the pre-owned clothes and handbag area on Beyond when we visited. It was in disarray, did not have a new clothes fragrance and not sure abt the feng shui??? I know it's a big thing now.. some ladies I know buy and re- sell...Whatever works..!
  19. me too.. our days out often involve strategic rest stop planning.. .
  20. Maybe we'll snorkel next time! We loved touring the island Had a small group in large bus with A/C, amazing flamingos close up, interesting history sites and we always enjoy the local. craft and spice market. We usually have lunch in the port! Glad you had a nice snorkel experience and a good dinner in the mdr
  21. Sad reality of travel! Loved the EDEN food photos..We are trying it for the first time on Ascent.. Crab cakes looks great..hope it did not have any lobster in it..(Sal allergic). Grouper looks great too.. we will def have to pace ourselves ...so many choices.
