  1. Much more to love about Celeb ships than the bars ..many venues are highlighted in the website!
  2. thanks.. . I will share this info with my husb who likes very hot steamy showers..he will need to adjust for a few days! off topic: but does mist danger, etc apply to kids' spray park areas.. Water is not usually hot, & they must use some type of chlorination ????
  3. we are booked on Silho for Dec..short cruise. We booked 3 specialty rest and got an early res time for MDR last nite of cruise..hope it will be honored! We cannot eat at 8:30 pm.
  4. what's early.. There were quite a few late night parties in ASCENT
  5. Guess it depends on the weeks one travels. We never go during any school vacation. Made that mistake once over Easter on Royal from Miami...it was a week of h__l! Now we check dates carefully!
  6. TP Barney.. Adding our wishes for full recovery! How rude of a Celeb rep to say you were too emotional! Not very nice and was inprofessional!
  7. oh boy.. We are booked for 4 days on Slho for this Dec ( 2024).. Hope we do not catch this or anything else..As noted earlier in this thread, we both were quite sick after we got home from ASCENT.. not Covid, unlikely flu and worst body aches ever. Of course, there's no way to know what it really was..self treated . And no way to connect it to ASCENT, other than we were on her and came down with this after we got off. If it's in shower heads, what can cruisers do to avoid???
  8. Our experience on BEYOND : limited menu on Sundeck..burger, salad, shrimp...slow service!, crowded!
  9. googled and watched the video with song.. Not Very Impressive!
  10. what is Perfect Day music?
  11. did it move away at times, ? room looks great otherwise, but view would annoy me.
  12. thank you...can't miss that sign!
  13. we pack small flashlights for the nightstands...useful!
  14. We like them all, bit prefer Tuscan (Ital..with Fellini motif), or Cyprus .(Greek) the 2 smaller venues ; followed by Normandie...maybe once per cruise. One of the larger ones,( I think Cosmopolitan??) is used for sit down bkfst and lunch so you will probably get there once or twice.
  15. we lucked out there with weather and seas early evening..but def risky food is great but sometimes attracts larger groups.and is adjacent to movie screen, pickle ball, etc, .so just a bit louder and busier! would probably skip next time!
  16. our grandsons would love it..but youngest has to wait 2 yrs before his parents would ok him for top! It does look cozy.. Does it stay open or put back each day? thnks
  17. Interesting read..so far it seems you are doing ok with the no frills approach, but hope you did not make DM haul her suitcase or climb onto the top bunk..
  18. can't wait to hear more...esp about the ship. X was a great Choice! Hooray for summer camp and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
  19. not the greatest.. we use it with OJ for an am type drink
  20. Agree...Sky Lounge was ruined a bit. We disliked having the Solarium and Thermal suite/ Spa areas on sep decks..not convenient for a spa type day! ( as per my best recollection) And the aft bar area was always overcrowded & basically split in half by the circular bar... chair hogs on the bar stools! We do like S Class but Ref was not our fav one. We are booked on Silho & Eclipse, and one more E class..APEX.
  21. Forgot to say, we picked EDEN as the first place must do..We loved it..It had great menu choices, was light and bright with sea views and not a fussy place.. open kitchen area was fun too! "Overhead" in EDEN there was an lovely acoustic duo playing mellow music.
  22. CD can make a diff in entertainment, music and events. Some of them these days are a bit loud and shouty but they do run fun parties!
