  1. wow.. looks like a great touring day.. Different from the usual tour routine.. dramamine a must! How did you like the Octopus? I have only had it in soup..Italian style. Catch of the day looked great.. your suite is beautiful... hope you get to enjoy all.it offers!
  2. Good tips for OP.. and the rest of us if we ever have group needs!
  3. Enjoy spa cafe! Then take a nice walk to Elite bkfst for a Bellini!
  4. Beautiful photgraphy, as always! Lots of ships..hope port is not ovetwhelmed!
  5. so lovely.. and in vials to last longer! here's my cake, regular Cap Club flowers and the surorise bouquet.. with a lovely handwriiten sentiment.. Just an extra touch from Celebrity which I appreciated!
  6. Sorry Tuscan disappointed.. We enjoy sharing the meatball app. Chacuterie, soup and I like the regular salad . All very filling! .On Silhouette, .We will pick entrees very carefully based upon your review!
  7. I used to order 3 or 4 per cruise.. They just make the room come alive! The Cap Club staff send me a lovely surprise arranfement after I mentioned my big b day last yr.. Enjoy the bouquet..it is stunning.. clip stems and they will last longer.
  8. used to have grilled salmon at lunch.. long lines for those orders. But now just on a salad plate...some of the baked goods are a bit dry and crunchy..but so many nice choices . Agree that Card players should play elsewhere to free up the tables for those eating food!
  9. dont give up on BLU..but maybe not every night as a large group!
  10. great map.. We did a 5 night cruise on Mercury some yrs ago..rt Seattle. Memory fades but I recall, ship basically went around Vancouver Isl..rough water on the outside going north and very scenic on the inside. Ports included Astoria Oregon ( ugh), Nanaimo & Victoria..last 2 were great.
  11. no.. we prefer bed by bath..gives a more spacious feel at the balc end..
  12. for the Special celebration night, there might be a large alcove area in a Specialty restaurant that woud be nice.. not sure what is available on Reflection. There are more large groups these days, so shipboard maitre ds are probably able to assist and accomodate.
  13. like the old TV show..Queen for Day! ( but self annointed)
  14. they generally do not push them together at the front of the dining rm but set up a long table at the back end.. we once went to a roll call dinner in BLU (Only guests in BLU from roll call).about 16 to 18 people..several tables... it was arranged ahead..not on a formal night...they asked us to attend early..like at 5 and added staff. Very successful but perhsps a one and done Doubt that would be possible these days.
  15. this has been done... big group set up at the back..Sometimes 2 seatings of larger groups. Must arrange with maitre d Frankly, it is disruptive to other diners as folks are louder with cross conversations, and absorbs staff attention.. Other diners are pushed closer to the front ..but it still is not ideal. We always try to avoid BLU at times when a large group is there . suggest 2 smaller tables and switch around.
  16. lovely b day decor.. Were the roses part of a Celebration package? Have not been able to order flowes for the cabin in a long time
  17. cute kitty.. great pics! we enjoyed our SV accomodations..Will have one again in January
  18. we could live with 5:30 every night in Cyprus ( or Tuscan) on our APEX cruise but wish we had more control over choices as we did initially! please let us know how this works out pork chop looks great.. esp is not drued out!
  19. Apparently it depends on each ship. Already a few threads abt this. We had no luck with APEX..they switched us to 6 pm ..we dine earlier than that! We did get a set res for Silhouette.. we'll see what happens at the door to MDR.
  20. i actually forgot what they have now.. We bring our own plastic disposable straws and a few food containers in case we have to forage at the buffet.
  21. great idea! I finally succumbed to some high end silks.... Our dtr is not good with live plants, and we usually lose a few when we head to Fla for a few months...Now I have to put signs on the silks.." fake..do not water!" On the ship, however, the faux plants might turn a funny green color when exposed to bright sunshine. Maybe live cacti would work okay.. We'll be on APEX in January.. so will see if they change anything there.
