  4. Sometimes howl is caused by someone else on your hall keeping door open.. We find folded towels make a good baffle . E N J O Y !
  5. if you go, I hope you do not have health issues away from home..and have the med ins just in case..I assume Cruise Care does have some type of coverage. We have US Medicare..no coverage outside US so we buy pvt ins (req if one livs in NY) We include a high level med coverage plus evac for illness. Good luck to you!
  6. looks like a great pvt tour.. lots of interesting stops mixed in with the " must sees", Enjoyed your pucs and commentary!
  7. That's very interesting. Tuscan is a lovely dining rm. Apparently, it has suffient space for all who are eligible gor the Concierge sailaway lunch. We will not be in Concierge Class on our APEX cruise but hope to enjoy Tuscan for dinner.
  8. sorry for the card players.. but areas for eating like buffet, al Baccio and Spa Cafe.. ( on all ships) should not become the card/ mah jong area. There are other spaces offered by activity staff, but many want those nice sea views and location near drinks..squatting all day is not the answer! we try to co-exist best we can
  9. we had a middle..deck 7.. bed by bath... large balc..some shade!
  10. nightime sky views are also quite amazing.. EDGE was our 1st E Class experience. We were part of the "original Edgie" posters with VT Cruiser... we cruised on her twice the first season..really groundbreaking!
  11. we sailed a short trip on QM 2 a few years ago..rt Bklyn NY.. After experiencing it.. we understood why they stressed it was an ocean liner and not a cruise ship.. It was very sturdy..just behind a bad storm .Never felt big seas. We had great dining, lovely service, top notch shows and a very nice mix of clientele.. skewed US.. Not stuffy!
  12. after 3 wks. you might file a cred card dispute..hate to do it, but it seems to hurry things along!
  13. ques abt the "salmon bake" outing.. How was it prepared & served?
  14. wow another brilliant photo review..! you say you took many pics..this was my fav of this batch
  15. liking your review very much.. the pics of the " fancy" tenders" were first we've seen of the interiors. We have been on E Class ships, but never had those tenders...
  16. Enjoying your review.. take your time! We prefer genuine reviews from Cruise Critic Community members.. as compared to U tube videos..just not the same.. too slick!
  17. what is the age group on Holland Alaska vs X? the OP will be on his honeymoon
  18. they have the Elite breakfast there probably not sailaway day ..But I doubt the Concierge lunch would also be there
  19. you are on the right track.. There are several current reviews on Cruise Critic now.. scroll through and give them a read....great photis too... we like the Inf Veranda.. not a real balc but has other benefits esp in Alaska. Edge is a great ship..we manage with the classic/ basic alc plan... CONGRATS! photo is from recent review by Mac. tic
  20. thank you for breakfast menu and photos..fruit looks fresh along with other tempting items!
  21. paid blogger? Worse than loyal cheerleaders! We rely on CC staff reviews. But most important, trusted CC members over the years..Some we agree with some not but hope none are paid " promoters".
