Forgot that it included Halifax..love the Public Gardens there.. Had a great dinner in Ocean Liners. Made friends with a couple from Grt Brtn..still keep in touch. wow..Almost 20 yrs ago! Blessed to still be Cruising!

Fall colors LI NY last year!

Did you ever do the New England to Quebec cruise? Memories: We were on Connie doing that itin for her 1st time..Amazing fall colors in Quebec..over night.. Tea at the Chateau, Montemarcy( ?) Falls..short hike.. Maple syrup time..Fall colors galore! Going up the Saguenay fjiord was spiritual.. there was a church on the hill along the shore...The ship served chowder on deck in bread bowls..and the music they played was Ave Maria..everyone out on deck! Many in tears! Just one of those special days! The Cap had a ball..he .sounded the horn in the narrow chasm as he skillfully turned the ship around. The final bonus was seeing hufe groups of whales so close up as we went into the St Lawrence.( rough sea there) sorry I digressed....but if you want fall colors book that cruise!

true, but alcohol releases inhibitions. Many who abuse alcohol put their own interests above those of others around them. At least they are not driving!

You can bring guests to Luminae for a fee..maybe a special family dinner..if you think it's worth it. I am sure it will work out well esp with your pos attitude!

Ruining others enjoyment is a problem! Over consumption of alcohol was much less of an issue on "X" before they introduced drink packages. People want their money's worth and a different clientele switched over to X immediately. We have observed "Bar Stool hogs" at the aft bar on Reflection...very loud and rowdy crowd... It ruined that space but we just avoided the area. Could not even hear the nice guitar music back there. Worst we ever saw, however was a large group, mostly young people, some with families, many solo, who were treated to a short cruise by their employer. Many of them probably never went on a cruise before. Many of them were drunk morning, day and night, and were very rowdy wherever they hung out.. Other passengers stayed away, and security gave them a bit of slack...until there was a daytime brawl, broken beer bottles and glass landing in the main pool..which had to be cleared .It was unfortinate they ruined things for others..but happy it was a short cruise.

The Apple Story is priceless. Glad the chef made amends. Used to enjoy all the cooking demos (so well attended) with free samples at the end. .Bet now the chefs hide because of what corporate says they must do to stretch and reduce quality of the product.

Sailed on her 2x in AQ class pre Covid.. Ca coastal and carib. She was really tired ! .Happy for OP.. nice upgrade in getting suite amenities. but sounds like the rest of the family next door won't be in Retreat...making it awkward. .We are not familiar with these cabins... Issue with Infinity for us was not just tired decor, mildew in shower etc , but we had A/C that died regularly in our cabin and hallway....never really fixed. Cabins down the hall had toilet back up. issues....fans blowing to dry carpet. Seems like the planned upgrades may not reach the systemic issues..hoping they will.! Wishing Connie would get updated too! Loved her in her Prime!

many will try other cruise lines and find a better fit for their current needs...others will go off and later return! when we tried Oasis, we could not wait for the cruise to end....quickly back to X !

agree.. not the same experience.. not as connected to food prep areas.. Large portions but a diff style menu..more like pub food. VERY slow service..more than once! We will give it one more try on ASCENT!

we stayed in Cv pre-cruise for a few days..Loved it..very authentic. Had a nice hotel...good food there. Organized a large Roll Call dinner at a retaurant a few blocks away from the hotel..They treated us like family! .Good places to eat esp lunch but everything closed for a long midday break. At the time, there was a pharmacy on the main street that was nicey stocked with last minute stuff.. Same trip we stay in the town of Fuminico overnight pre flight home. Marriot was very convenient. Good food in town too..

I disagree..Internet, casino and alcohol are not the only money makers. We spend quite a bit extra on board..We book all our excursions with x, plus several spa and salon sessions specialty dining, lots of photos, and always one nice bauble in a good jewelry shop as a keepsake! We drink very little so no overuse of alcohol like many we see who have a package..

Today we booked a short cruise on SILHOUETTE.. Great sale..75% off 2nd cruiser, OBC etc. We are going into Concierge Class..a good value and will do Specialty dining.. Still looking at Cunard for the future.
