  1. what types of fish dishes were featured in the 4 mdrs..pls dont say tilapia.. we had wonderful choices on EDGE.. but thst was awhile ago!
  2. nice menu for Elite bkfast..and that Bistro area is one of our favs..great views! hope you make it at least once!
  3. glad to see that.. esp in the Solarium where loungers are at a premium..Let us know if the staff follows through..they are often unwilling to "upset" the customers
  4. hope you won't be disappointed. On BEYOND, those were the two areas we found underwhelming . Luminae was dark, tables were close together, and menu "meh." No bread basket on the tables, bread lady often "mia" , amuse bouche..odd choices, limp shrimp cocktail. We ate from the Classics more than the daily menu and enjoyed our visit to BLU much more. The Retreat pool and lunch area were crowded other than on port days. (when we enjoyed it). Lunch was a very limited menu and slow service. The bar was often overwhelmed. On sea days, the "Regulars" hogged the tiny pool all day There was sufficient shaded area. The large Retreat indoor space was nice with a small walk up bar and small buffet area , but the room seemed underutilized...they .could have made a small pvt gym area in half of it.. Our Butler and her asst were always asking if we needed anything.. after awhile it became annoying and we felt a lack of privacy. Butler was annoyed if we handled minor things ourselves. Guess we are low maintenance! We did appreciate havibg a larger stateroom, early embark ( no snacks served.) and esp the priority disembarkation which they handled fairly well. Glad we tried a suite using up our cancelled cruises credits, but would not need to book one again..esp with rising fares!
  5. Clueless attempt at mitigation.. How will the vape "smoke" be contained in the vaping area? On QM 2..the smoking area was enclosed with a glass partition Will they place air cleaners in the vape area? They had those on Royal when they had indoor smoking areas..

  7. where are the rolls? at least BLU gives a bread basket, usually filled with variety of breads and rolls. on the Beyond in Luminae , bread was doled out by a rovlng bread person, often mia. A few tomes we were tokd the bread would arrive late...huh,

  9. does not seem right giving credits in lieu of access..why can the elev be fixed or ramping retrofitted?
  10. anyone recall losing the Elite level lounges on X so they could become suite lounges.? .or Royal Diamonds losing access to their lounges so suite guests had e exclusive entry? .. We booked more cruises to reach those perk levels... and then poof ..all of a sudden suites were the new focus! Cruise lines give perks, and shift whenever it fits their bottom line! Tried the Retreat but we are happy going back to AQ Class..great food, small dining area and Thermal Suite access. diff strokes fir diff folks!
  11. our next 2 and only Celeb bookings have pre paid grats in our fare. increases will backfire as folks won't hand out as much of a cash bonus. when they mandated the spa grat onto the bill...I stopped cash tips and the workers def lost..at least from me

  13. guess so but we do.not care for cruise pizza..it just misses the mark for us .but we are spoiled! concede it is quite popular...quick and not fussy!

  15. seems it is a poular choice, l but I am not sure why people order pizza on cruises..it just isn't like Italy, NY, NJ, Chicago or any hometown pizza. Even Fla pizza is better! best is home made...
  16. Titles like the one for this thread can start bad rumors! We actually read that things are improving although some nights better than others....pasta and tilapia not great offerings but always something that's good! We disliked the Luminae menu and food on BEYOND..BLU was so much better! Fresher shrimp, warm bread and rolls...great selection. So not everyone will agree!
  17. Take extra allergy pills, , use saline nasal spray..and use water pitchers to add humidity.. not sure if they would allow a table top air purefier?? We have them in use to combat bad air quality from Canada fires and ozone issues. Could you bring a few uv lightbulbs?? I am not familar with this approach but we are constantly fight dust!
  18. Thanks for the pics and videos. We had similar positive experiences on EDGE in the theatre..the CLUB..and in EDEN...and in BEYOND as well. Looking foward to ASCENT ,next and then APEX. Your review has a great format..thank you!
  19. We were gullible & tried one these "so called" health seminars. A.close rel had cancer and we thought we might gain some healthy insights. We were crammed into a small " classroom" and it became clear that it was a heavy duty sales pitch for some type of seaweed capsules..pricey and more than a one shot. Towards the end quite a few of us started to drift out..without making a purchase, the sales reps got quite huffy and said we were insulting them by not making a purchase.... We would never attend any of these again..false pretenses to sell sell sell!
  20. Guess it pays to shop around carefully! Glad we had the Retreat experience once.with the Butler.( used fcc from cancelled cruises over Covid period). We are happily going back to AQ Class Ascent 2024),; and a Sunset Veranda( Apex 2025) with 4 mdrs on E Class. Prices are definitely UP..For Ascent in Jan. for a 7 day Carib itin, we have a Prime AQ cabin (location makes it Prime?). We booked by calling Celeb. After the NRD and other disc it comes to about $4960 for 2 with grats, classic bev, $200 OBC internet we do not need . Deposit was $500.. We have to take the NRD now due to pricing of. Refundable...but will also buy pvt cruise ins. We have already booked prepaid excusions, spa and salon appts and several specialty dining res. Due to pricing and our budget, this will be our ONLY cruise for the yr unless a bargain shows up from Tampa port.. have not checked current pricing but we are satisfied with our deal.
