  1. Some staff who dispense it in its very watery state, splash it all over your clothes.. We use it from a regular standing dispenser or our own, but not from a person carrying a slimy looking plastic btl.. ugh!
  2. Never had bad photos on X. Sometimes the poses they ask for are not flattering, and we just ask for basic poses. Ones from E Class have been excellent !
  3. Wow.. hardly ever used to see what was described above or sleeveless " wifebeater" shirts in the buffet on X..but saw many on Royal C.. Guess things are spilling over not in a good way. It's up to mgmnt to keep up their standards evebmn if things are more casual nowadays, but the new X team is truly clueless!
  4. All great points, but for those about to board for long awaited cruises, info about shipboard conditions including illness, creaky cabins, food quality, etc is of great interest. Being forewarned helps one prepare to take extra precautions. For us, this type of info is much more important than what brand of alcohol is in short supply!
  5. Not a high probability! Too much can go wrong.. Many others will line up for self disembark! Sunday is popular day for cruises to return .
  6. that was a good approach...cruisers could personalize or pick none!
  7. i thought I saw a post just recently quoting new ceo that there was a sale for singles..limited time Not a single so did not take closer look
  8. great cofffee compared to mdr or buffet urns.. mimosas are nice too! quieter than other venues
  9. no longer a true "all in" option from what we see.. we have 3 cruises left with All Inc.
  10. not worth price diff unless you need extra points or Concierge lunch or afternoon snacks!
  11. be comfortable but chic! a step above casual.. sometimes husb wears a jacket but it's mostly very nice dress shirt..tommy bahama, cuban dress shirt. next cruise no jacket being packed! most on board look great..only a few go against the tide!
  12. Wow. tis the season. Even if we are extra vigilant there is always a chance of getting something. Will travel with test kits, sanitizers, meds etc!
  13. i do not think time slots apply..just a booking thing. ENJOY!
  14. if you don't buy the PG pass, can you still use the dry sauna and showers in the locker tm ...no extra charge?
  15. We are among those who will finish up E Class..(minus XL), and then return to S Class..for various reasons..Balc, diff restaurant choices, nicer thermal suite, ..something old will once again feel new! We also dislike the dark passages to BLU and EDEN...dangerous to those with low vision and no real value to us as art!
  16. they've been doing White Nights but now introducing the Shine Party (?) ..looking forward to it
  17. Jim thanks for the update.. hopefully the Noro can be contained...Wishing All on Board a happy and healthy cruise!
  18. is there any update about the Noro ? when is the sailaway? we've heard all the req precautions, but am now interested in the people on the ship..how many will go home sick?
  19. Is there a reson why Cruise Critic does not sponsor the get togethers anymore..They used to coordinate guest list/ invites, have raffles, giveaways..generated lots of interest!
  20. thanks for posting..they look " interesting".. we'll be dining in EDEN on ASCENT in a few wks..but I usually drink Club Soda and lime..!
  21. So no more res are taken for the 4 E Class mdrs? That's very bad! There is no real space for lining up outside these venues. The res system worked fine on EDGE.. New system sounds very "downscale".. like waiting on line at a food court at the local mall
  22. keep trying! We have a nice roll call going for Ascent 1/28 with traditional list, great countdown updates, planned Sailaway and some are getting together for an excursion. So far no Slot pull or Cabin Crawl.. Some are also on fb but heard that is not very busy either! Seems no organized Connection party from Cruise Critic anymore???
  23. i also thought the "bus to the mall" plan was crazy.. A super spreader event. Wonder if any will be sick at the mall? Seems likely. Sorry for those boarding for the first time who will be mixed already exposed cruisers and crew. Having had Noro and Covid( 2x), neither is very pleasant but for me the Noro was a shorter course. No appetite, frequent bathroom trips and lots of liquid like gatorade to avoid dehydration. . Covid first time pre vaccine was much more severe.. laid in bed for 2 wks inert....After vaccines and boosters, it was like a 3 day mild flu. Where was the ship recently? .We are now nervous about our cruise on Ascent in 2 wks... Good luck to All!
  24. Sick crew members will be unable to work..and will spread germs ..not sure of the incubation time but it spreads easily... I caught noro on last day of a Royal cruise many yrs ago..from tablemates who "disappeared" two days before disembark. I filled up on Pepto just so I could make it off the ship to our car. Luckily we were not flying!
  25. I do not think it's funny.. we are booked on Ascent in a few wks which also had some loud creaking already. We ordered earplugs.. We did not know of the change to Beyond itins.. Is that b/c waters are calmer in the Carib? Wonder i there is a fix??
