I wonder if Carolexas Cruiser, a first time poster and Vidiruth, a second time poster, are on the same cruise - or if they know each other. It would be interesting to know the sailing dates and cabin categories as well as all the pricing information.

Just as a point of interest for those with lots of OBC on back-to-back cruises. We were able to carry over the unspent balance from out first cruise to our second. This happened December 2023-January 2024, a 12 + 14 day cruise. At the B2B meeting at the end of the first cruise, the head of Guest Relations announced this change. We had lots more OBC on the first leg than the second. This worked out well for the more than 40 people doing the B2B.

My TA has been on vacation and returned today. She confirmed that we are getting 10% of our full fare minus port fees and taxes. I have the updated invoice. What a great deal for paying our balance 3 months early.

There are some exclusions. Check with your TA.

If you want the convenience of booking cruise line shore excursions, you'll pay the price. If you want to spend less, you'll book your own. If you want to spend nothing, you can get off the ship and walk around. Lots of choices for all of us.

If you are planning to book excursions, OBC is as "real" as dollars or pounds.

I assumed that the 10% was based on the balance due. If it is based on the original fare, my husband will be drinking much better wine.

We'll take advantage of this offer because our $2,477 balance is due in little more than 3 months. If my money is earning 5% right now in the bank, that 3 months interest is only $31. My onboard credit will be $247. The math (or for Brits reading this - maths) makes sense for us.

Tony told us the same thing back then, and we've sailed with him for years. I hate being told something untrue to my face.

The phrases "select guests" "select bookings" and "eligible bookings" are used in this offer. I wonder what those phrases mean.

So what, you may ask, happened to the Visa card for the couple I referred? Well, after my friend Alan sent Azamara several emails, he received this response: Hi Alan, I heard back from our referral team. You will receive your $200 Visa e-gift card when your booking remains uncancelled and is within 90 days before the sailing’s departure date. Please reply with any questions. Kind regards, CAROLINE GRAY Azamara Cruise Expert Alan and his wife are sailing in October 2024 so they should get their card in early July. Stay tuned.

To get an idea of the deck 3 cabins, take a look at the deck plans for Oceania's four small ships. These ships all sailed for Renaissance Cruises, of blessed memory.

The upgraded wi-fi on Onward in December-January was $6.95 per day. And, yes, it is a LOT better. If you are used to good speed at home, you will definitely want to upgrade.

If bookings go down at the higher price, this trial balloon will sink like a lead balloon.

You win some, you lose some. With the new (higher) prices for specialty dining, this problem might disappear.

Here's an easier/no stress solution. Plan to board later rather than earlier. The crowds will have eaten all the cookies and drunk all the coffee and water. But you will waltz onto the ship with no waiting whatsoever. Make your first onboard meal dinner rather than late lunch.😃

Only after 14 days of a 24 day cruise did I discover the many movies on demand. My husband and I both thought movies were limited to a few channels. If I could remember how we found the on-demand movies I would explain it.😕 Perhaps someone who is onboard now can describe how to find them.

Thanks for all your input. Based on your experiences, I guess "future sailing" means it can be used on the cruise that the discount is being given for.
