  1. We’re looking at sailing from Seward in 2025 on Summit. At this point only three of the southbound itineraries have a precruise landtour available to book…the first sailing and then two in August. Does that seem correct or should each sailing have the opportunity to book a cruise tour? I’m not sure if it’s limited at this point because the itineraries were just released this week or whether that’s the way it always is. We’ve only done round trip Alaska prior. Thanks for any insight.
  2. We’ve done Alaska twice in September, both were very good, but we’d like to see more snow on the peaks so figured we’d try a cruise earlier in the season. We’ve booked the May 30th Summit southbound and will add the precruise tour on when they’re released.
  3. Oh what a horrible way to end off an amazing adventure. Hope you both feel better soon, perhaps looking over all the fantastic photos will help somewhat! Glad you made it home ok, nothing like your own bed when you’re under the weather! Feel better soon and thank you for the wonderful postings. Cathy
  4. Just booked a SV for Alaska May ‘25…have to wait to see and book the precruise land tours.
  5. Just booked the Summit one way southbound for end of May ‘25…wanted a SV and there’s so few of those. Oddly, the cruise tours aren’t available yet so we’ll have to add that when they get them sorted. I believe, if memory serves, that the Solstice will do the round trip out of Vancouver, Edge round trip out of Seattle and Summit the one ways Vancouver-Seward-Vancouver.
  6. Noticed tonight that the ‘25 itineraries are showing on the website but the land tours aren’t detailed and when you try to book you can’t get to the page where you would choose your type of cabin…just says no cabins available. Guessing IT department is still loading? Typical X. We enjoyed the September sailings very much, had warm temps and little rain both times, contrary to what many predict. We enjoyed less children, no bugs, cheaper fares and still lots of wildlife including the salmon runs especially in Ketchikan. I did miss seeing snow capped peaks which is why we’re looking to do it again in the Spring. We do want to add in a pre cruise land tour thru the ship but X isn’t making it easy. Very little detail as to what is included at each stop.
  7. Thank you for the entire posting and glad that you both made it home safely! I’m quite envious that you were able to sleep for 8 hours in economy. Do you have special blankets, pillows or ? Hope work wasn’t too tough today! Did you say what your next holiday will be? I’m selfishly hoping it’s another cruise so we can all tag along 🤣 Cathy
  8. I’m waiting for this as well. Thought maybe they’d be released today, being the 27th, but could be any day this week. I’ve done Sept twice so looking to try in the Spring now.
  9. Happy Birthday Jim! Hope you, Iain and your friends enjoy a wonderful day and that they spoil you all day! I’m very much enjoying your Live From, thank goodness since @Norwaylady had to leave and go home to work 😅.
  10. We are too far from yyz to use Uber etc and our upcoming trip to NZ will mean parking for over a month and I’ve found that Skypark is our best and cheapest option. We do the valet option and they currently have coupons for $150 for a month or $80 for a week so even combined it’s the best deal going. We’ve dealt with them before and never an issue. Car is cleaned off when we arrive and drop off and pickup is efficient. We need five weeks of parking and even at $230 seems to be the best deal. Anyone seen anything better?
  11. We received notice that our renewals were approved Oct 16…still waiting on our new cards too. I’ll def come back here to report when/if we receive them. It is reassuring that others are waiting as well. Cathy
  12. @Norwaylady just want to thank you for all the wonderful posts and amazing pics! I’ve really loved following along each day, one of the best “live froms” for sure. Hope you and Mr enjoy your final day and all your flights home are smooth and on time! Cathy
  13. Wow, David, just wow…your photos are really capturing the wildlife in their glory. Absolutely stunning! I’m not surprised you’re so tired at the end of each day…I’m feeling it just reading about it! 😅 Hope it continues to be an amazing trip!
  14. Thank you @Shiba_Lover, very much appreciate the effort to flip the photos. The handwritten notes are also helpful!
  15. I’m very interested in this info but can anyone tell me how to flip the pictures so they’re right side up? Thx, OP for posting them!
  16. Following as well, couldn’t afford to sail in a suite even before they raised all the prices so I’m quite interested in hearing how your porthole veranda pans out! Will you be eating in the MDRs for that portion? Hope the new menus are a step up! Happy Anniversay!
  17. Been a real lack of Galapagos reviews and now two! Have been enjoying @prmssk’s review which has set the bar pretty high David 🤣. This trip is def on my radar and now it will be helpful to compare the two loops! Have a wonderful trip and I hope to hear about all the unique snorkeling adventures! Cathy
  18. They’re lifeboats as well! Can’t have too many.
  19. Following as well! Have a great sailing! 🛳️🥂
  20. I’m very excited to follow along! DH and I are hoping to do this trip as well as a side trip to Machu Picchu. I’m looking more for marine life however I’m sure you’ll see plenty of those along with all the birds! We’d prob do Expedition as well primarily to save a few $$$$ Hope you have a smooth flight and embarkation…can’t wait to read more! 🛳️ 🐦 🐬 🐠 🐢 Cathy
  21. You see scams on the news on a daily basis, I’m constantly amazed how many people don’t do their due diligence before forking over hard earned money…cringe every time I see Pat Foran come on with another poor victim. If you recognize that name you’ll be watching the same news channel as me 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣
  22. Happy upcoming 10th anniversary! As Penguins stated they’ll do a cake for you but unless you’re in a suite (which you stated you’re not) don’t expect decorations or anything. We’ve been onboard previously for special birthdays, anniversaries or whatever and the cake is pretty much it. And beware, oftentimes you’ll get the cake on a different day than you entered in your documents lol. We’ve always just thought of it as “it’s the thought that counts”. Our Baltics cruise coming up in May we’ll be celebrating our 40th…we’ve reserved a speciality dining venue for dinner that night but I’m not holding my breath for a cake on that specific date. We never book suites so haven’t receive the streamers etc that others enjoyed from their butlers and suite team members. If my cabin is clean when I return from dinner and there’s chocolates on the pillows I’ll be happy! Enjoy your B2B, I’m sure you’ll have a wonderful holiday!
