  1. The site is down right now, but the app works for me.
  2. True. I’ve had Caribbean ports changed at the last minute often due to weather conditions. It’s not unusual at all. It’s not a huge deal to change from Bermuda but perhaps pre-cruise testing isn’t important to Celebrity. It’s guest inconvenience, not cruise line inconvenience. EXCEPT For these cruises they’d have to give full refunds for people testing positive and that can be costly.
  3. I think for many of us travelling to Bermuda as a brief port stop in the next 40 days, we got excited when Celebrity lifted all test requirements, then discovered Bermuda wasn't included. Then we got excited when we learned most of the Transatlantic sailings got diverted from Bermuda to different ports to avoid onboard testing. Now many of us who are on the various social media sites such as this one and the one starting with F have our hopes up that Celebrity might divert our cruises too.
  4. As I’ve stated on other threads I don’t care about the $80. My Beyond repositioning cruise on 10/26 is stopping in Bermuda first on its way from Bayonne to the Caribbean. With most of the Western Hemisphere dropping testing requirements, Bermuda is still requiring it. There’s some stress and anxiety leading up to our cruise wondering if we may possibly test positive and not be able to go on a cruise we’ve planned and anticipated for a year. If Bermuda changed their rules or If Celebrity changed this first port, we wouldn’t have to test and we wouldn’t have this stress. We’d be able to stress about other things instead 😁
  5. How far in advance do the post the actual menus for your sailing ?
  6. it varies and depends on your cruise length and itinerary.
  7. It's really an easy concept. Just bring lots of money and hand it out to anyone who doesn't annoy you. .
  8. I’ve been using one similar to this for 3-4 years. It’s awesome. I travel with it always. Cruises or hotels. It stays in my suitcase when I’m not traveling.
  9. But what happened to your beverage package? Did you get it?
  10. It’s not as bad as “moist” ”Moist” can get you suspended.
  11. My wife has an electric curling brush which spins and generates heat. I looked at the FAQ's and am not clear. Curling irons and straighteners are allowed. I said she should pack it and if they take it away, they'll give it back at the end of the cruise. Anyone have any experience with these contraptions?
  12. That’s what I thought but this language on the Celebrity site doesn’t say they ll wait for us. ”In the unlikely event that your tour is significantly delayed, we'll make all the arrangements for you to return to the ship at the earliest opportunity with no expense to you.”
  13. I know I said I’d prefer our cruise change ports from Bermuda to avoid testing but I didn’t wish for a Category 3 hurricane to hit them. Praying those in Puerto Rico and Bermuda all stay safe. 🙏 🙏 🙏
  14. I’m pretty certain the policy is “use it or lose it”
  15. If you have Celebrity OBC and it shows in your cruise planner, you can use it in advance to pay for ship sponsored tours and excursions. I’m told Travel Agent On board credit is available to use after you board.
  16. An ice bucket refilled with ice each day by your steward solves this. Keep some sodas/waters on ice.
  17. Those catamaran excursions usually hold 50-75 passengers so we won’t be the only ones left behind.
  18. normally we don’t either but the $1,000 OBC was an enticement to book a cruise line excursion.
  19. Yes. That’s the excursion we’re on too. Also departs at 430 for a 3 hour catamaran sail. The only difference is our cruise (10/26 Beyond) departs Curacao at 8pm so there’s a lot less room for error on our 3 hour cruise. (Singing Gilligan's Island theme song in my head).
  20. I love turndown on cruises. On a Caribbean cruise, we usually take showers after a day at the pool or the beach, before getting ready for dinner. I’s nice to come back to a clean cabin and bathroom and have fresh towels for the morning. But no judgement from me if you choose to go green. You also help lower ship operating costs so maybe that’ll keep my next cruise a few dollars cheaper. Thank you.
  21. Most Cruise lines actively promote the policy of ship excursion guarantees vs off-ship tour risks if you don’t make it back in time means the ship will leave without you. it’s an effective scare tactic. ps. Sorry for the run-on sentence.
  22. perhaps a ship sponsored excursion catamaran sunset cruise has more potential for a delayed return.
