  1. However, when my office posts notices intended for employees, they are not placed where patrons can read them. In fact, unless there is compelling reason, we will not even verify if someone is, or is not, a patron of the office. Just saying.... Unless there is a legitimate reason to know, is it anyone's business if you are even on the ship?
  2. I guess that is the little risk RCI takes in exchange for the benefit of having cabins booked that far out.
  3. When you think about it, aside from cabin attendant and MDR servers who in all likelihood get handed a cash tip anyway, who in the tip pool knows your name? What is the point of making a meaningless list of names to pass around?
  4. I think there is a big difference between looking for compensation and expecting taxes and fees to be refunded. I understand no compensation for a weather related missed port. I do not expect RCI to pocket the taxes and fees that would have been paid to that port. As for it being a small amount of money, try departing the ship at the end of a cruise owing RCI anything other than a zero balance on a seapass account and see what happens.
  5. So RCI collects taxes and fees that a due to a foreign government. The ship does not go to the port and RCI then gets to pocket this money. That is interesting. Then, to top it off, there is no company policy covering this. RCI leaves it up to the individual ships to decide how to handle the situation. Hmmmm.🙄
  6. Since this update, it asks for my log in credentials and then just hangs. I can't do anything with it.
  7. Anyone who does not believe this has not been paying attention.
  8. I suspect that is how I would feel too. Nine months is a long time to put everything else in life on hold.
  9. I know. I didn't think about that when I picked it. However, 8 mights from PE and 4 ports with none of them a private island. DR is a new port for me and I haven't been to the other three in a few years now and two sea days at the end to relax. It seemed like a good pick. Hopefully the spring breakers will choose either newer ships or shorter cruises.
  10. My cruise? Freedom, March 15. I'm looking to get something booked before that though.
  11. Let me do some math for you... 10 beers x $8 × 4 days X 2 people = $640. I realize that I'm not using "new math" so the answer could be different these days. That said, I have slowly come around to thinking if you feel something is going to increase the enjoyment of your cruise, and you can afford it, then spend your money as you see fit. When I think about what I spend for internet at home vs what I pay on the ship it drives me crazy. However, having internet adds to my cruise enjoyment and I don't have to take out a loan to purchase it.
  12. I'm not sure why cancelled flights should make any difference to someone who has a B787.🙂🙃🫠
  13. I would like to visit there sometime. Does it look anything like Venice or very different?
  14. I think that cave is warm as it isn't far underground. As I remember, one of the chambers has light coming in from the ceiling? I think the sun heats the rock and heats up the cave. I love that bridge. Yes, first time there I was surprised we could stay on it when it opens. When you think about it, sometimes they don't even give you enough time to get off of it between when the alarm sounds and the gates close.
