  1. I have no idea. However, I think the entire discussion is more indicative of the main stream cruise industry rather than RCI specifically.
  2. Gratuities will never be eliminated even if they are built into the cruise fare or taxes and fees. We have already seen this. Soon after auto grats were introduced the posts began from the protectors of the exploited and down trodden that we should be tipping extra on top of the autograts. RCI soon joined in by reinstating the envelopes being left in the cabins once again with a gentle reminder that you might want to consider a little extra "reward" for the hard working crew. RCI then came up with the bright idea to try to get people to pre-pay for service that had not even been received. I suppose by the time you get on the ship the memory of something that you paid for 90 days ago might have faded and you might be more inclined to fill those envelopes especially when your seapass account isn't showing several hundred dollars in gratuity charges. The point being that no matter how they bundle those "gratuity" charges there will always be the clamoring from the self righteous that we should give more to the exploited hard workers and those envelopes that RCI supplies for our "convenience" will never disappear.
  3. Well, we have already seen the "cruise lines raise fares" part of your wish come true.
  4. Sounds to me like your issue is with the cruise industry, that generates billions if dollars in revenue on the backs of the hard working crew, all while exploiting their employees.
  5. RCI seems to be moving more groups of people off of payroll and into the tipping pool while sky rocketing the cruise fares that they charge yet you say the passengers are doing the screwing.🤔
  6. I couldn't tell you who uses vouchers, pays for drinks, has a package, etc. They all hand over a seapass. I also have no idea who tips or not. I have better ways to spend my vacation than paying attention to what is none of my business.
  7. The pain meds are notorious for causing urinary retention. They prevent the urinary bladder outlet muscle from relaxing and letting urine flow. Add that to an irritated prostate gland, and possibly enlarged gland, from the Foley insertion and the urine is going nowhere.
  8. My previous cat loved coaxial cables. I don't know how many times I would get home from work, turn on the TV and then have to go to Walmart to buy a replacement cable for the cable TV box.
  9. No, I rarely get CC email. Just make sure your setting are for no notifications or you will get a notice (email) everytime someone posts to one of your subscribed groups. This group alone will blow up your phone.🫨
  10. Yes, there is a balloon to keep the catheter in. You don't want to pull it out without deflating the balloon. It not only hurts but can cause a lot of damage to the urethra.... the tube you urinate through.
  11. They will know when you urinate on your own. Over time doctors are actually able to learn what does, and does not, work. Your urologist is certainly aware of time frames for what is usually necessary for a catheter to be in place. This just like we know time frames for all sorts of other conditions and treatments.
  12. I guess if someone chooses to go to a school with a $60,000 a year tuition in a city with a very high cost of living and couldn't pay the bills by bartendering then they would have to fine another way to make ends meet.
  13. Also, when RCI cut back cabin service and increased the number of cabins per steward they effectively cut back the number of stewards that they need to hire. Why is no one up in arms about those people who now don't need to be hired at all? All I keep reading is people saying they are fine with once a day service. Come on folks, you need to stick up for those unemployed people. We need twice a day service so RCI will need to hire more help. It's time for all you once a day service proponents to step up and do your part to help these now unemployed former, and wanna be, crew members.
  14. That is what I get when trying to get to "contents I have posted in". I just tried to get into my account to bring up my email and that is working fine.
  15. Yes, if you plan to buy for the entire length of the cruise then pre purchasing one two device package will save you money.
  16. The going rate seems to be around $26.99 per day for one device. This can vary between ships and sailings. I don't know the price for two devices.
