  1. I agree about the piano player. Even if I was the only person in the elevator I would rather be in there by myself. I just don't get the attraction.
  2. I am not saying that the ship is bad. I've sailed smaller ships. Our first cruise was on Celebrity Horizon. I prefer ships with a Royal Promenade or something equivalent. I'm not even much of a Radiance class fan. I can't sit still very long. I like having a lot if real estate to walk around on.
  3. Not exactly included in the price, it is added onto the price... and you have no say in the matter so I don't know how that poster came up with maybe, maybe not.
  4. Good for you. I guess I have not been looking in the right places.
  5. How old do you have to go to get a good deal? Grandeur is out of the question for me.
  6. Are you the only ship there? If so the place will seem pretty empty. It will be easy to place a lounger in shade.
  7. You are sailing with an awesome captain. I wish I could tell him how much he added to our cruise when we did the Southern Caribbean with him on Serenade. That cruise was in 2005 and I still remember him.
  8. I really like Cafe Two/70. I stopped there often. Interesting to read your summary above. I have a bit different perspective as I would book Odyssey when I'm looking for a more relaxed cruise. There is plenty to do but my FOMO didn't kick in. When I'm on an Oasis class ship I am constantly getting up to go see what is going on around the the ship. I don't get much down time.
  9. I think we are not in the Caribbean any longer, Toto. My problem with this cruise is I think I'd would never close my eyes to take a nap for fear of missing something... FOMO.
  10. For some reason I had imagined Serenade being all by itself in that part of the world. I'm not sure why I pictured it that way. Are people getting a crystal block for every 70 day mark or just one for the cruise? The block you posted looks really nice.
  11. Looks like it was hit with the bow. They say Titanic would not have sank if they had done the same.
  12. Is Capt Stig announcing the names of the islands like he did for us in the Caribbean?
  13. I think what I might try for awhile is doing an 85% charge when I am working the next day since I can always plug in at the office if I need to. Then I might go to 100% when I'm not working the next day as a daytime charge would be more inconvenient. I rarely need fast charging.
  14. Really enjoying your posts and pictures. It all sounds very exciting!
  15. I'm not sure it really matters. Many people do a lot of things on vacation that they don't typically do in everyday life. They eat differently, drink differently, engage in different activities, change the amount of sleep that they get, etc. I'm sure this all plays a role in the appearance of ambulances on piers to meet cruise ships.
  16. Yeah, more health conscious. I guess that is the reason RCI manages to sell those drink packages for the prices they are asking.
