  1. I wanted to add some background on NG Sea Bird which I sailed in 2001. The ship is SMALL with a current maximum capacity of 70 passengers and her itineraries are not listed in Cruisetimetables. Away from the Alaska season I think typical itineraries are Columbia and Snake rivers (my cruise) and the Sea of Cortez. She attracts little attention and typically docks at ICT, the Inside Cruise Terminal, literally across the pier from bigger ships. Here's a screenshot of her today with Regatta. I think the diagram is a pretty good indication of the relative size of the ships. Roy
  2. I would suggest going to Pier 221in any case. There is a shuttle between Pier 22 and Pier 30. I'm not sure what other facilities there are at pier 30 so I don't really know how boarding works. I have a slightly different situation. I arrive in Quebec on QM2 and leave on Crystal Serenity October 25 so I was wondering how to get from one to the other. This is the answer I got when I asked the port authority: "Bonjour Roy, You are right about the location of each ship at the Port of Quebec for these dates. There will be a shuttle on Pier 22 parking lot that can bring you to the Pier 30 terminal. Otherwise, there will be taxi and uber drivers available on those dates that can bring you to Pier 30 from Pier 22. I hope I did answer mostly of your questions. Have a nice day ! 3. I have a sunset today rather than a sunrise. It's from my 2016 Crystal Serenity Northwest Passage cruise and August 31 was probably one of the first days that the sun set before my bed time. It was a sea day from Cambridge Bay to Pond Inlet. Roy

  5. Definitely now past the tall pole and about to be blocked for a while. Roy
  6. Sea Bird is almost in front of the tall pole" Roy
  7. It will be a hectic sail-in. Sea Bird is almost to the Gastineau, Noordam is on the other side of Douglas Island about the latitude of Thane, and Eclipse is close behind but far faster. Cruisetimetables is wrong today. They show NCL Jewel in BOTH Juneau and Skagway tomorrow.
  8. Thank you Rich, Vanessa, Debbie, Ann, and Dixie for the last Fleet Report and Daily of August. I'm thankful that apparently most if not all of our dailyites are ok after Idalia; prayers for the many who lost so much. I'll celebrate all 3 of the days, especially eat outside day. Been to Manaus twice, both times on the Elegant Explorer. Interesting quote by Abbey. Not sure about the meal. Edison really started something with his invention. Chilly this morning at 68(20)C, and running late this morning. Roy
  9. Sharon, prayers for you and your family, but especially for your uncle. Roy
  10. Today's sunrise is from a 2012 Queen Mary 2 transatlantic. August 29 was the second sea day out of New York. Roy

  13. That's a wrap. Thanks Leanne, Lou & Dave, and fellow addicts. Noordam earlier tomorrow. Roy
  14. A lot easier to swing around with no anchored ship. Roy
  15. Nor much more than a spec but she's passing the tall pole. Roy
  16. I've seen worse but not exactly a great day in Juneau. Roy
  17. Hope your power stays home. Heading to the grocery and then home and hoping to be back in time. Roy
