  1. Crown Princess is docked in Ketchikan. Roy
  2. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 1997. They did surgery later that year but since then until 2021 there was nothing more invasive than hormone therapy with no side effects other than an occasional hot flash. Roy
  3. What are the requirements for Chops Breakfast on Vision. The only times I've gotten it was Diamond Breakfast on the Empress where there was no Diamond Lounge. I know you've been to Coco Cay a number of times and I'm pretty sure you were there when I last cruised on Enchantment 18 months ago. Roy
  4. Not sure where Crown Princess is. Should have an easy turnaround towards the exit. Roy
  5. I checked cruisetimetables and including Zaandam there would have been 8 ships both dates. On both dates there will be Celebrity Apex and Reflection, Nieuw Amsterdam, Odyssey of the Seas, Viking Mars, and Sky Princess. In addition there will be Silver Dawn on February 3 and Eurodam on February 17. I think part of the reason for getting the short end of the stick is there are only 2 Fort Lauderdale round trips to be inconvenienced. On February 3 Zaandam will be returning from San Diego, and after February 17 will be the last Fort Lauderdale round trip she will be going back to San Diego, so there will be few people with cars at the port. Roy
  6. I'll post a sunset today rather than a sunrise. It's from my 2014 Alaska cruise on MS Statendam. August 23 was the last sea day before disembarking the next morning in Vancouver. Roy

  8. Destination is Bar, Montenegro. My guess is she's going there to pick up crew. Roy
  9. Thank you Rich, Vanessa, Dixie, Tina, and Ann and Happy Hump Day. Happy Birthday Ann and Bon Voyage @HAL4NOW. I have not been to Qaqortoq. Strange statement by Bukowski. I think I'll pass on the days and have no clue to the meaning of the day in history but it was not a good day for William Wallace. The meal sounds interesting although I have no clue about what it is. My alternative is Slow-Braised Boneless Beef Short Ribs with Alaskan Berries and Classic Alaskan Berry Cobbler as served on MS Statendam August 23, 2014. Off to the Mall to walk. Roy
  10. I guess that's it for today. Thanks Leanne, Lou & Dave, and fellow addicts. Roy
  11. Not much contrast again but I think she's entering the basin. Roy
  12. Oops. What was really close was St. Peter. Westie only midway from Thane. Roy
  13. Happy Anniversary Graham and Pauline, and Happy Birthday Eva @superoma. The alert is now in service. The company is investigating the earlier activation but have not heard the result yet. In any case I am not sweating it. It's a Medical Guardian Mini Guardain. They have a very similar but older model called Mobile 2.0 and I'm not sure which @durangoscots has. One question for @durangoscots does yours count your steps. There's something about it in the software but I don't think it applies to this model. I added a pair of glasses to the photo to provide a context for the unit's size. Roy
  14. In 2010 I was one of the very last passengers to leave a Cruise West ship before the line went our of business. I got to the ship by train and ferry. On August 22, 2010, the sun came up as the Canadian was in Eastern Manitoba closing in on Winnipeg. Roy

  16. Thank you Rich, Vanessa, Tina, Dixie, and Ann. This was a great day for our war wounded back in 1864. While the tooth fairy has had some recent opportunities she's been stingy lately. I'll celebrate Angels but have no idea what a Hoodie Hoo is. I have never heard of Halibut Point. Interesting quote by Lewis. I'll pass on the meal. My alternative is Mixed Gourmet Greens, Chilled Raspberry Soup, Roasted Poik Loin with Apple-Cranberry Spiced Chutney and Tiramisu which I enjoyed August 22, 2014 on MS Statendam. Looks like a busy day with getting up to speed on my medical device, banking, shopping and who knows what else. Roy
  17. I think this merits a second look. Serenity has disappeared from the Brooklyn schedule but is not shown on the Manhattan schedule so something crazy is going on. I did look at https://www.cruisetimetables.com/newyorkcitynewyorkschedule-29oct2023.html and see no reason why Serenity could not dock in Manhattan. Oasis will be docked in Bayonne and Manhattan should be able to handle the other 4 ships, Roy
