  1. I just sent an email. Let me know if you don't get it. Rpy
  2. Today's sunrise is from a 2013 Atlantic Canada cruise on MS Veendam. On August 18 we visited Bar Harbor. Roy

  4. Happy Friday. Thank you Rich, Vanessa, Dixie, Ann, and Tina. I'll bet we'll get lots of bad poetry today. Helium was a great discovery and what's not to like about serendipity. This is likely a sad day in the UK. I like the Harper Lee quote and have been to St. Thomas a number of times but I don't think ever on a BHB. I'll pass on the Halibut. My alternative is Maple Fruit Melange, Chilled Cranberry Soup, Perfectly Grilled Breast of Chicken and Pistachio Ice Cream as served on MS Veendam August 18, 2013. I think I have a lunch with former colleagues today and not sure what else is on the schedule. Roy
  5. My sweet spot is mid-September but if you feel that way I think October is great. I'm thinking about covid, The pharmacy told me it had to be 6 months between boosters. I had my last one May 30 so I may not be able to get anything until November 30, after both of my upcoming trips. Roy
  6. I'm wondering if any other dailyites have gotten an RSV vaccination yet. So far no problems but there are several side effects listed so I will be extra careful for the next few days. Roy
  7. And she's tucked away. Have a great day in Juneau @RD64. Thanks Leanne, Lou & Dave, Carole, and Suzy. Roy
  8. Not sure how much I will see today. Must leave in about a half hour for a vaccination. Noordam should be making a wide sweep to turn around so there should be some visibility if the camera doesn't zoom on Eclipse. Roy
  9. A couple of followup questions. What score would you have given Carnival? And also, what is/are your favorite RCI ship classes? Roy
  10. Eclipse now in the lead. Had I not gotten sick in January I should have been on the Noordam today. Roy
  11. Today's sunrise is from August 2018 Crystal Symphony Panama Canal cruise. On August 17 we visited Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala. Roy

  13. Looks like Eclipse and Noordam may be neck and neck. Although Noordam is in the lead Eclipse is currently much faster and will likely be first in. They are both about the level of Juneau working their way around Douglas Island. Roy
  14. Happy Friday Junior. Thank you Rich, Vanessa, Tina, Dixie, and Ann. I like all 3 of today's days and expect a number of our number have black cats. I've been to Curacao several times. Pulitzer made some very good use of his fortune and 120 years ago was a great day. I prefer the second half of Einstein's statement. I have not been to Olive Garden so I'm unsure about their soup. My alternative is Watermelon Cocktail, Chilled Coconut and Nutmeg Soup, and Spaghetti Puttanesca as served on MS Statendam August 17, 2014. Off for my walk soon before the heat gets bad. Roy
  15. Also, if just one day are you on for both the cruise ending and the cruise leaving> Roy
  16. Is Serenity there overnight of just for a single day turnaround? Roy
  17. Ouch. Based on the raindrops I think I'll move on to today's errands. Thanks Leanne, Lou & Dave, and Carole. Hoping for better weather tomorrow. Roy
  18. Bonjour Roy, You are right about the location of each ship at the Port of Quebec for these dates. There will be a shuttle on Pier 22 parking lot that can bring you to the Pier 30 terminal. Otherwise, there will be taxi and uber drivers available on those dates that can bring you to Pier 30 from Pier 22. I hope I did answer mostly of your questions. Have a nice day ! 19. Today's sunrise is from my 2015 cruise on Blount's Grande Caribe from Portland to Saint John. On August 16 we visited Rockland, Maine. Roy

  21. A double hump day today, midpoint of the week and midpoint of August. Thank You Rich, Vanessa, Tina, Ann, and Dixie. I expect Alaska today would be very different if Sutter had not made his discovery. I was due to visit Akureyri in 2012 on Crystal Symphony but missed it due to the weather. I'll salute the Airborne, enjoy jokes, and have enjoyed a number of roller coasters but not recently. The quote is interesting but I'll pass on the meal. My alternative is Sunset Salad, Orange and Grapefruit Medley and Spaghetti Amatriciana with Grilled Chicken Breast which might have been my choices on MS Prinsendam August 4 2011 if I had not had a big Pinnacle Lunch. Will be a pretty nice weather day here today as we had a cold front yesterday. Roy
  22. I think it's pretty much the same between the ships. My recollection is that the crew seem to use my name somewhat less than my limited experience on other luxury lines but the big differences is their learning and anticipating my wishes, habits, and desires. I have been on a luxury ship where Everyone used my name but it pretty much ended at that and even when I said there were things that could have been better they forgot what I said 5 minutes later. Roy
