There are no sailaways during our summer as the ships are all either in Europe, the Northeast US, or Alaska. After a long time off the boards she did post to the July 27 Fleet Report and Daily. I think she is out of Medical facilities and either back home or with her daughter. Roy

I perhaps posted too soon. Our underground utilities are mostly pretty reliable but things can happen. My power went out about 9:45AM. Expecting it wouldn't last too long I left home at 10 for my Tuesday run to a supermarket on the other side of town and to Panera. When I arrived home I the first thing I did was go inside and check the power. It was still out and my utility did not yet have an update. I grabbed the frozen foods and headed up to the firehouse where the frozen foods and today's purchases are sitting in the office fridge. A crew has arrived on the scene with a restoration estimate of 2:30 (another 90 minutes) so I'll hang out here until it's done. I'll get my exercise today carrying stur from the store and home out to the car, into the firehouse, and back to the car and home. Roy

Thank you for the Tuesday Fleet Report and Daily, Rich. Good catch on replacing the trip down memory lane with the Summer Olympics Closing Ceremony (from your template; today 3 years ago) with National Frozen Custard Day which I will definitely celebrate. Many here will celebrate International Cat but hope my neighbors won't sneak any zucchini onto my porch. Thank you also Vanessa, Dixie, Ann, and Tina, 2 great days in history for science and women. I have not been to Kanazawa. Love the Lincoln quote. Like Icand1923 we had nasty storms last night but all looks ok this morning. The severe damage was to the 2 counties north of me. I'd prefer my chicken not in an Enchilada. My alternative is Classic Caesar Salad, Berkshire Pork Rib Roast, and Triple Berry Alaskan Tart A La Mode which I might have enjoyed my first night on Grande Dame (Rotterdam V) August 8, 1997 (I don't have those actual menus so I'm using menus from Westerdam in 2018). I'm now exempt from jury duty due to my age. My number came up several times in the time frame of 1990-2008 but each time when I was due to be off on a cruise. Each time i called and was given a deferral. Finally in 2008 I was given a summons for something like November 28 to December 20. I was on a cruise November 21-December 1. I called and asked if I could comply but be excused from the first few days and they agreed so I had finally gotten to the end of the string of summons. I was never called. Roy

Is yours one that you can wear when you go out to a hike or something like that. I was surprised that you said you left it home when you went out. Roy

A question for the dailyite family. Does anyone have experience and/or recommendations regarding Senior Medical Alert Systems? The 2 that seem to be most prominent are Life Alert (poor reviews) and Jitterbug (requires changing phone carriers) but there are a few others. Any thoughts? Thanks Roy
