  1. Thanks all. It seems like if Cunard allowed this and lost some ancillary income from me, they would end up with a Princess Grill Cabin they could still sell to someone else for a nice return. Roy
  2. Looks like that's a wrap. Thank you Leanne, Lou & Dave, and Carole. Have a good weekend. Roy
  3. There's an advantage in being away from the heart of the city. 110 in Baltimore but "only" 104 a county or 2 away. Still it was brutal walking from the doctor's office to the car to the house. Roy
  4. Hopefully we will see her now with each pass of the camera. Roy
  5. Appears to be close to a rendezvous with St. Peter. Roy
  6. A favorite canal spot of mine is in the area between the Miguel and Miraflores locks where we sit at water level looking at ships above us on the new canal. Roy
  7. Today's sunrise is from my 2010 Blount Cruise from Rhode Island to Quebec. On July 28 the Grande Caribe was on the lower St. Lawrence River: Roy

  9. Happy Friday Dailyites. Thank You Rich, Vanessa, Ann (and have a great getaway), Debbie, and Tina. I enjoy milk chocolate but prefer dark. Today is a great day for celebration in Northern Ireland. I enjoyed waterparks many years ago but no more (although a cooling pool would be nice), Buffalo soldiers are heroes of American history. I like the Harrison quote. The Ziti sounds nice. My alternative is Chilled Blueberry Soup and Roasted Duck with Sour Cherry Chutney as served on MS Prinsendam July 28, 2011. Early run to Wegmans this morning and a very hot trip to the cardiologist this afternoon. Roy
  10. This is a really bizarre situation. I'm booked on QM2 September 29-October 13 New York-Quebec-New York. It was booked in Princess Grill with a very generous credit from the aborted 2020 World Cruise. Some of you know my favorite cruise line has long been Crystal which is just restarting after going bankrupt last year. My cruising days are winding down and I had not expected to encounter a Crystal Itinerary that I could handle but then discovered that Crystal Serenity is in Quebec the same days as QM2 and headed to New York. They quoted me a price I can live with and I'm fine with just not using the return part of the QM2 cruise. When my TA tried to clear me leaving QM2 in Quebec Cunard said I could not do it. That seems very strange as many passengers are already disembarking at the same time so I'm stunned. I don't expect a refund and I'd even be fine with Cunard selling the second one to someone else so it seems like a win-win but Cunard is saying no. Any ideas? Thanks Roy
  11. My July 27 sunrise is from my 2007 upper Amazon cruise. July 27 was my last full day on La Amatista: Roy
  12. I think that's it for today. Thank you Leanne, Lou & Dave, and Carole. Roy
  13. It looks like Symphony has completed her drydock and is back at a finishing dock, My July 27 sunrise is from my 2007 upper Amazon cruise. July 27 was my last full day on La Amatista: Roy
  14. Happy Thursday. Thank you Rich, Vanessa, Dixie, Tina, and Ann. I appreciate bagpipes in moderation, have no houseplants to walk, and haven't been on stilts for about 7 decades. I like the quote and have been to St. Thomas several times. Telecommunications have really enriched our lives. I like the meal suggestion. My alternative suggestion is somewhat close, Fruit Cup Au Naturel, Chicken Consume Millefanti, and Roast Chicken Gremolata as served on MS Prinsendam July 27, 2011. Heat index will pass 100 today and I hope to be home from all my errands and mall walk by 9, Roy
  15. Anne, so sorry about Chuck's news. Wishing you the very best possible. Roy
