  1. Looks like that's about all there is to see today. Thanks Leanne, Lou & Dave, and fellow addicts. Roy
  2. I think finding the Eurodam made it a bit easier to pick out. Roy
  3. May depend on what happens with a possible zoom on Eurodam. Roy
  4. Blending into the background on the right side of the screen. Roy
  5. I did speak to my nephew in San Diego and he's fine except that schools are closed. My package has not arrived yet. Roy
  6. I would normally be here and may still but I'm expecting a very important package at the UPS store so if it arrives I will pretty much drop everything else. Roy
  7. Thank you Rich, Vanessa, Tina, Dixie, and Ann for the Monday reports. I used adding machines for the first several years of my time at work. I'll take most any ice cream including Spumoni. Funny how related days seem to group together with Poet's day so close to Bad Poetry day. Senior Citizens Day is definitely for many of us including me. Been to Catalina just once, Carnival Inspiration in 2017. I love the Lennon quote but will pass on the Nachos. My alternative is Strawberry Bisque and Grilled Strip Loin as served on MS Veendam August 21, 2013. I expect a very busy day today but so far no real plan for it. Roy
  8. I will add a word of caution about medical alert devices. I think the discussion must be country specific. I should know more in a few weeks but it looks like Medical Guardian does not work at all in Canada. Roy
  9. It's the same company as yours. Don't know about the model but I should have it tomorrow. Roy
  10. Ray, that's essentially the way the system is supposed to work Al the unit does is call the company and it is them who has the information. I'm quite sure there's nothing on the unit itself except a serial number that they use to identify my account. I do wonder though if there was a quality control error somewhere. The representative stressed that once I got the unit I needed to activate it so I was surprised to see that it was already active. Roy
  11. Today's sunrise is from my one cruise on the Empress of the Seas. August 20, 2019 was a sea day from Key West to Costa Maya: Roy

  13. Thank you Rich, Vanessa, Tina, Dixie, Ann, and Graham for today's reports. I love radio prefer to celebrate bees from a distance, and have no use for mosquitoes. I've been to Bonaire twice, I think Maasdam in 2015 and Koningsdam in 2017. I'm pleased that Russia eventually decided to sell off Alaska. I tend to like the Adams quote but will pass on the meal. My alternative is Citrus Delight with Amaretto and Grilled Lamb Chops with Oregano and Apple Chuney as served on MS Statendam August 20, 2014. A crazy morning today. I mentioned a while ago that I was thinking about a medical alert device. I ordered it last week. I got a call EARLY this morning but it was from a number I didn't recognize it and ignored it. I googled the number and got several responses and thought it might be associated with the device and then almost immediately thereafter got a call from my pastor checking on my welfare and thinking I had fallen. Apparently the device is in shipping and was dropped somewhere at a FEDEX facility. I think I will get it tomorrow. Roy
  14. Not exactly covered. There is limited shelter fore and aft as well as a narrow strip under balconys as well as under lifeboats (Symphony only). Roy
  15. We have a bit of a local connection to Maui. Among the rescuers is Maryland Task Force 1. It is a multiple disciplinary team but primarily firefighters, adding doctors, K9 teams and probably others. About 50 of the 80 member team are from nearby Montgomery County (home of @RMLincoln and @NextOne) and about 8 members from my home Howard County. They are starting their second day on the job, de-layering debris and searching for victims. Sadly but I think wisely, there is an embargo on photos so none will be coming. Roy
  16. Another sunrise today from my 2013 Veendam New England/Canada cruise. On August 18 we visited Saint John: Roy

  18. Thank you Rich, Vanessa, Tina, Ann, and Dixie. Daguerre really revolutionized the creation and preservation of images. 3 great days to celebrate although I have not been on an airplane in over 3 years. Interesting quote by Monroe. I have not been to Broome and will pass on the Chow Mein. My alternative is Maple Fruit Melange, Chilled Cranberry Soup, Perfectly Grilled Breast of Chicken and Pistachio Ice Cream as served on MS Veendam August 19, 2013. Special prayers for the people of Southern California, Yellowknife, Maui, and British Columbia today. Sad that all that is happening while we have a Chamber of Commerce weather day here with a current temperature of 55 and a high of 82 (about 13 to 29) with sun and a breeze. Eagle Ceremony today for one of the members of our girls scout troop. Roy
  19. Interesting that since I first looked at the thread post lock there were 12 posts and now it's down to 8 with the OP getting the last word. Do we know if it's a him or her? Roy
  20. Missed this one due to a luncheon with my former colleagues at work. Roy
  21. Happy Birthday @Mr. Boston. Congrats on that A1C @Cruising-along. @Cruzin Terri I hope they get that floor fixed as soon as possible from here, It's WAY overdue. Roy
