  1. With 2 critical zoom meetings this afternoon I'm pretty sure I won't be around today. Roy
  2. With 2 zoom meetings today I will share just one photo from Valletta. In 2010 Old Crystal started a series of no-frills shore excursions said "We Care, You Care" where we did some type of volunteer service at various ports. Some were good while others, including this one not so much. It was called “Going Green in Malta” and involved symbolically planting a tree in Ta’ Qali National Park. The hole had been dug and we placed a sapling in the ground and covered it with a bit of dirt, and a souvenir photo was taken: Roy
  3. Another sunrise from my 2016 Anthem of the Seas cruise. June 10 was another sea day from Labadee to Bayonne: Roy

  5. Thank you Rich, Vanessa, Debbie, Ann, and Dixie. Three great days to celebrate Happy Birthday @Denise T The quote is typical Groucho. I visited Valletta just once, way back in 2010 on the Crystal Serenity .. Two great days in US history. I used an Apple 2e for a number of years... I’ll pass on the meal. My alternative is Papaya with Rainbow of Fruit, Cheese Ravioli, and Strawberry Ice Cream as served on MS Prinsendam on June 10, 2015. Not sure Debbie would choose this either. My second Monday is typically busy and today is no exception with a church zoom meeting at 4 and fire department at 6.. Special hugs to Jacqui. May things turn around for Terri and Jim, great news that their TV and phone are back. You’re all overdue for a positive change. Paul was on line last night for our “Sundays at Seven fellowship time but still in a hospital gown and from his bedroom A long way to go to full recovery.. Roy
  6. Today's sunrise is from mu 2016 cruise on Anthem of the Seas. June 9 was a sea day from Royal's private destination of Labadee, Haiti back to Bayonne: Roy

  8. Thank you Rich, Vanessa, Debbie, Ann, Dixie, and Graham.Father David. Three great days to celebrate.... I like the Wagner quote. I visited Montego Bay just once, and that was enough.. Donald Duck has brought us a lot of laughs over the years.. I’ll pass on the meal. My alternative is Chilled Peach Soup and Boston Lager Strip Loin Steakas served on MS Prinsendam on June 9, 2015. Looks like a nice Sunday; I will be returning to worship in person after missing it last week due to the dental extraction.. Special hugs to Jacqui. May things turn around for Terri and Jim, great news that their TV and phone are back. You’re all overdue for a positive change. Special Bon Voyage to Mtn2sea, embarking on the worlds only ocean liner.. Roy
  9. Sadly. Montego Bay is becoming a frequent substitute port when Key West is not available as happened to me on my Rotterdam cruise last year. It's about 35 KM from the purpose built port of Falmouth and 100KM from Ocho Rios. With my declining energy levels I never got off the ship but here's my view as we set sail for Fort Lauderdale. Roy
  10. Thank you Rich, Vanessa, Debbie, Ann, and Dixie. Three worthy days to consider although I think I would only consider one a cause for celebration... Coelho’s statement seems wildly optimistic to me. I have not been to Christmas Island.. Two sad days in US history, especially the USS Liberty. I’m sure I have seen Mickey Mantle in person in Baltimore’s Memorial Stadium but can’t specifically remember it.. I’ll pass on the meal. My alternative is Chilled Pear, Cucumber, and Melon Gazpacho, Carmelized Orange and Grapefruit Cocktail, and Pan Roasted Barbary Duck Breast as served on MS Prinsendam Canaletto on June 8, 2015. Today started out a bit chilly when I went out to my morning walk but will warm up a lot. I am very busy with my volunteer financial duties right now as I’m in the midst of a major report for my church, and the fire department just closed the deal yesterday on a piece of equipment we no longer use. I have a sinking feeling that Mary Kay will likely not be boarding her ship tomorrow. I think I remember she was very involved in the 9/11 cleanup and left with severe lung problems that does not combine well with Covid. Godspeed to her. Roy
  11. Welcome to Cruise Critic. I was able to cruise quite a bit even while working, and then had over 20 years of very frequent cruising, but now find it difficult to fine even a week without a planned Doctor visit sometime. Roy
  12. Never saw Zaandam but it sounds like I didn't miss much. Thanks Dave, Leanne, and fellow addicts. Roy
  13. Today's sunrise is from my 2015 Prinsendam British Isles Cruise. On June 7 we visited Falmouth. Roy

  15. Happy Friday. Thank you Rich, Vanessa, Debbie, Ann, and Dixie. I’ll celebrate all 3 of today’s days.. I think Jackie was spot on with her comment. I have been to the Dockyards in Bermuda several times. I think Kigs Wharf and Heritage Wharf are back to back but could never remember which is wich. I expect a special celebration 5 years from now when Vatican City reaches a Centennial.. I’ll pass on the meal. My alternative is Canaletto Salad, Sauteed Veal Picatta, and Pistachio Gelato as served on MS Prinsendaml Canaletto on June 7, 2015. An early start today on what will be a welcome calm day. Our trash used to be picked up about 9AM like clockwork on Fridays but less predictable (and usually earlier) recently. I headed out with a final bag of trash about 6:15 and headed out for my Mall Walk and Wegmans a little after 6:30, returning home about 8:15. The trash had already been picked up and I got both the trash can and groceries inside, and am in for the day. Roy
