Today's sunrise was from my 2015 Prinsendam British Isles cruise. On June 13 we visited Foynes/Limerick, Ireland: We had a bit of drama that day. You know how they say they will wait for you if a ship tour comes back too late. Well, Foynes is some distance up the River Shannon. After several early tours left the pilots told Captain Roberts that due to tidal/current conditions we needed to leave a half hour earlier. The last tour bus showed up at the pier just in time to see us sailing away. We headed about 2 miles downstream to a safe anchorage before sending a tender back to pick up the missing group. Roy

I have been to Zeebrugge a few times including Nieuw Statendam in 2019. 649 years is a long time to be true to a treaty,. I like radishes but wouldn’t consider them a meal.. My alternative is Chilled Bannana Soup, Tossed Seasonal Treens, and Chicken with Dried Cranberries and Orange Relish as served on MS Prinsendam on June 13, 2015. Not sure what I will do today but as much as possible to be ready for tomorrow. It will be hot today but brutally hot then.. Roy

I am less than impressed at this point with John's Hopkins. My tests on Friday are on the opposite side of Baltimore from me. I was called last week and told that I needed to be there at 9AM and would need to be driven there and back due to the sedation I would need, and I was expected to be released about 2PM. A member of my church did indicate that she was willing to to that. They called again this morning. The arrival time is now 10:30AM, and I if my driver cannot do the return trip they have no other way to get me home. They also changed the entrance will get to the appointment. I still can have nothing to eat or drink after midnight tomorrow, so I definitely am not personally pleased with the prospect of the day. The only good news is that my driver says she is ok with the change. Roy

Thank you Rich, Vanessa, Debbie, Ann, and Dixie. Three interesting days to celebrate, especially Get Outdoors Day... I like the Asimov quote.. I’ve been to Kodiak several times, mostly on Crystal, sometimes on the ferry, but never on a BHB. .. Two great days in US and UK history. I very much enjoy blueberry muffins. My alternative is Chilled Watermelon Gazpacho and Lamb Loin with Mint Chinchurri as served on MS Prinsendam on June 11, 2015. Most of my time away from home this morning will be a routine visit to my podiatrist and then a grocery store in the same direction that I visit once a week.. Special hugs to Jacqui. .. Roy
