  1. And thank you for checking in with @StLouisCruisers and @ger_77 to keep us updated before we got too worried. Roy
  2. Today's sunrise is from my 2016 Crystal Symphony Antarctica cruise from Buenos Aires to Miami. On February 26 Symphony visited Panama City: Roy

  4. Noordam is a different class of ship from the Volendam and Zaandam (and departed Amsterdam and Rotterdam VI). I think on the Noordam your best choices would be a cabin on deck 4 near the forward and midship elevators (Aft Promenade deck has no portside doors) or just below the lido deck aft or midship. Roy
  5. Thank you Rich, Jacqui, Vanessa, Debbie, Ann, and Dixie, and best wishes Dixie with your surgery. I think Carnival Day may be a holdover from a year when Lent came earlier. Carpe Diem Day and Black Lives Matter Day are certainly worth celebrating. I think I disagree with the quote, I think one’s state of mind and outlook on life have a significant effect on survival. Not sure I can celebrate colonialism but the Pound Note and RADAR are certainly worth celebrating. I’ve been through the Beagle Channel several times. MV Multinovski in 1997, Crystal Symphony in 2016, Zaandam in 2017, and Prinsendam in 2019. I will probably pass on the meal. My alternative is Classic Caesar Salad, Rigatroni with Chicken Meatballs, and Sliced Fruit Plate as served on MS Prinsendam February 26, 2019. It was also probably the Antarctica Penguin was displayed, this time for the Mariner Medallion Ceremony: Roy
  6. No toots for Nieuw Statendam. Wonder what's up. Thanks Dave, Leanne, and fellow addicts. An almost clockwise sailaway. Roy
  7. My photos are "sort of" Jakarta. My tour was a visit to the school President Obama attended for about 3 years during his youth. It is a simple two-story building surrounding a courtyard. A statue of Obama as he appeared in his youth stands in the courtyard: Some photos of the students and classrooms: And a volleyball game in the courtyard: Roy
  8. Today's sunrise is an oldie. It's from a Uniworld Nile River Cruise in 2009. On February 25 we were on MV Prince Abbas cruising Lake Nassar above the Aswan Dam: Roy

  10. Thank you Rich, Jacqui, Vanessa, Debbie, Ann/Laura, Dixie, and Graham for the Sunday reports and sermon. Bon Voyage, @Lady Hudson. I try to eat right but don't always succeed, and will pass on the other two days. I think I need a bit more coffee before I'm anywhere near ready to comprehend the quote. I visited Jakarta just once, in 2014, on Crystal Serenity. I am very thankful for the convenience of paper money. I'll pass on the meal. My alternative is Lido Salad, Chicken and Ranch Fries, and Peach Crisp. as served on MS Prinsendam February 25 2019 in Prinsendam's Lido. I chose the lido that day to be on deck for our sailaway from Rio de Janeiro: Roy
  11. A while ago. Could it be Royal Viking? Roy
  12. That's all for me today. Thanks Leanne, Dave, and fellow addicts. Roy
