  1. Does Dover work for you? There are a number of Dover departures in 2025. Of course you would need to be careful in posting since we would recognize any dishware or other common sights on the ship. Roy
  2. Today's sunrise is another from my 2015 Allure of the Seas transatlantic. Roy
  3. Today's sunrise is another from my 2015 Allure of the Seas transatlantic. Roy
  4. Thank you Rich, Vanessa, Debbie, Dixie, and Ann for the Hump Day (and first November) report. I'll pass on cooking for pets but celebrate Authors and Literacy (connection there?). I like the Chesterton statement. and will celebrate vaccines including diphtheria. I expect most of us have been to Juneau many times. The meal sounds nice. My alternative is custom cooked Lido Omelet (mine is ham and bacon), my final meal on MS Amsterdam. It had to be the best of the day as I disembarked and flew to Rome to board MS Prinsendam and everything that followed was airline food. The photo is actually from MS Eurodam: Will be a COLD day today. Roy
  5. I have a sunset today rather than a sunrise, and it's from my 2017 MS Rotterdam cruise. October 31 was a sea day from Shanghai to Hong Kong. Roy

  7. Shouldn't be a problem as I did it on Queen Mary 2. Roy
  8. I did a bit of testing on my cruise. On the re-designed Serenity All laundry rooms have a lock but the key to my most basic cabin opened ANY laundry on ANY deck. It is now the whole ship; the only exception is individual cabins. Roy
  9. Thank you Rich, Vanessa, Debbie, Ann, and Dixie for the Haloween report. Ill salute the Girl Scouts but pass on the other 2 days. Very thankful for Martin Luther's contributions. I've been to St. Peter Port twice, Prinsendam in 2015 and QM2 in 2019. I like the Jane Eyre statement. I'll pass on the meal. My alternative is Strawberry Bisque, Oven Roasted Chicken, and Apricot Strudel, my final dinner ever on MS Amsterdam October 31, 2017: Today I break out my heavy coat. Roy
  10. Today's sunrise is from my 2017 Amsterdam Grand Asia segment. On October 30 we were in Shanghai: There is a bit of drama here. We should not have been in Shanghai. We were directly behind the Volendam which had been held for over a day since her planned departure and we should have left the prior evening. We had been giving a range of excuses from water issues to heavy traffic to storms on the Yangtze. This was especially distressing for me as our next port was Hong Kong and I was due to disembark there, fly to Rome, and board a Prinsendam transatlantic the next day. Our departure came about 10:30, approximately 20 hours late. Fortunately, Captain Everson really put the pedal to the metal and we were only about an hour late docking so I had ample time to make my flight. Roy

  12. Definitely a low visibility morning in New York. Serenity is just on the right: Roy
  13. @jet65 just curious. Did Crystal offer a shuttle and if so where? Roy
  14. Apparently the pilot is already on board and on the radio. Roy
  15. Thank you Rich, Vanessa, Debbie, Ann, and Dixie. I hope Mischief Night is mild for all our dailyites. Probably time for a checklist since I leave for my cruise (embark 11.12) 1 week from today. I like candy corn but haven't had any for several years. While purely funny at it's time, the Thurber question is a valid one now. I have not been to Northern Ireland. That's quite a modern day in history. I'll pass on the meal. My alternative is Fresh Fruit Medley, Veal Parmigiana, and Peach Crisp as served on MS Amsterdam October 30, 2014: A cold front coming through today. Roy
  16. Today's sunrise is from my 2015 Allure of the Seas transatlantic. I was in a "Boardwalk Balcony" cabin, facing inward but with just a bit of a slice of the outside. Our course had us on exactly the right heading for the sunrise. Roy

  18. Thank you Rich, Vanessa, Debbie, Ann, Dixie, and Graham. Don't really know much about Psoriasis. I know we have a lot of dailyites who will especially appreciate National Cat Day and in some ways I tend to be a bit of a hermit. Nice to see 2 BHB in Everglades yesterday. I have not been to Maloy and expect we may see more cat photos than Maloy photos today. Not quite sure I understand the Elliott quote. The meal sounds interesting. My alternative is Tropical Fruit Cup, Bleechers Macaroni and Cheese, and Blueberry-Mango Crisp as served on MS Rotterdam October 29, 2017: AV duty in church today. Roy
  19. There is a direct walking route but beware. The terminal is behind a dike, and as I recall you walk along the top of the dike, and then take stairs down to the cruise terminal I think I have photos somewhere but not sure. Roy
  20. Just one toot. NA is clear winner today. Thanks Leanne, Lou & Dave, and fellow addicts. Roy
  21. And if Eurodam has the PP I'll take it. Longer to watch our BHB. Roy
