  1. I'm not sure when your cruise is. Ours in May docks a Oceankaj, which is the furthest dock from the city. Or at least I consider it the furthest away from being able to walk to see things. Here's a link to Copenhagen's port schedule. Just do a search. https://www.cmport.com/terminals/ships-in-port/
  2. No, the purchase is thru AARP not Princess. If you use that card you get just one point not double.
  3. No, not too casual. That's what we wore most of the days. The ship was a little cold so warmth was important (and I'm rarely cold).
  4. We're on a long cruise with 6 segments. Do I have to choose the entire cruise for visas with GenVisa or can I just request visas for one segment? For example, I just want to use them for Vietnam and Cambodia. I can get all the others - Australia, NZ, etc. myself. Thanks.
  5. Ok, here's the rest. Starting today for 3 nights each - Asian Panorama, La Route des Indes, Xian, and then back to California.
  6. No problem at all. The menus run for 3 days. California started Saturday thru Monday. Lotus runs next Tuesday thru Thursday. I can't see further than that. I'll let you know when our Northern Lights cruise starts on the 19th what the rest are.
  7. We are on the Venus now. They will provide you with the next days menu to prepare your food properly. And we have been asked by the waiter each night if we have any food allergies.
  8. We stayed at the Hotel Phidlias. Close to the port -- shuttle to the port. They were very nice. They stored our bags for 3 days between cruises. The beds are hard but I like a really soft mattress. http://www.hotelphidias.gr/#
  9. I read the same thing about a Princess ship.
  10. Calendar month. Bought some mid October and thought I had to wait until mid November (from bad info here). I checked Nov 1 and was able to buy 5 more. Bought 5 more December 1.
  11. If this 1 to 1 conversion is correct, it is just not right. We're considering the world cruise out of Australia and if this is true, it could be a deal breaker. We would get $2000 in OBC. Converting 1 to 1 would short us $950.
  12. Thank you all. Now that I know what to look for, I see there's a BC Liquor store close to the cruise terminal. We may drop off our luggage and walk over there.
  13. Thank you both. We are getting in the day before the cruise and plan to stay out by the airport. There's a Costco out there. That's why I asked about that store. I'll look for some other options in that area.
  14. Does Costco in Vancouver sell wine by the bottle or box? When I search Costco's site, all it has is wine kits to make wine yourself. Thanks!
  15. We had T-Mobile on our 2019 world cruise - 114 days. The last 7 days were at sea. Never had a problem. Got coverage everywhere except French Polynesia. Never heard anything from T-Mobile. We weren't big users as was had unlimited on the ship. Every country you get a text message "Welcome to _____". So they knew where we were.
  16. When we bring on wine, it's because of the lack of variety of the wine on board that we like for a longer cruise.
  17. Tipping at the end of each segment is a good idea. Some people on our world cruise had their cabin steward leave (end of contract) in the middle of the cruise and they missed the opportunity to tip. I'm not sure why the steward didn't tell them.
  18. Thank you. I've used vacations to go but never cruise mapper. I just think it would be easier to be able to use Viking's site to search Viking's cruises.
  19. I would like to be able to search cruises by ship. We like to book B2B cruises. Can't find an easy way to do this on Viking's site.
  20. Customs and Immigration has gotten much better in Ft Lauderdale. Many of the locations have photo ID cameras. You just walk up, center your face in the device, and then you're approved. There are no longer any forms to fill out. We were on 4 cruises earlier this year and 3 of the 4 had the cameras. If not, it takes just a little more time to see the officers.
  21. We did 4 B2B cruises on the Regal in Jan/Feb. They told us there was no carryover but it did carryover for all 4 cruises. For the first cruise we left just a few dollars to test it.
  22. Thank you for the information. If you've booked with a travel agent, do you make the payment the same way or do you have to have the TA make the payment?
