Med sailings are very different than the Caribbean…They often feature only one seaday and while in the Caribbean it’s not uncommon to sit on the beach…On a med sailing you’re touring and hardly care about a ships entertainment
Should be noted that the BCC does sell the drink package 15% off. I personally utilize my status for the 5-7pm happy hours but was told if you want drinks, sit a penny slots machine closest to the bar, that way you’re always in path of the drink servers; if it’s really slow the bartender may be the only drink server and you can order directly from them assuming they see you playing
I agree with everything except for possibly the following as I have direct experience…Multiple times I have received a comped balcony offer, I call to see if there’s a reasonable upgrade fee to a sky suite and the casinos sail only offer has been more expensive than booking X’s AI rate directly
Correct; like before only base fares are comped. Some high rollers (they play for hours and bet over a hundred a hand) reports they get perks in their offer yet they’re probably already receiving them from their casino status making offer perks a moot point
Everyone playing receives free drinks. $20/night aqua class upgrades are available for some, otherwise while suites upgrades are available, never seen them offering any kind of deal and there are many datapoints who stated the casino rate was more than booking directly with X
I probably sound like a broken record at this point…
Comes down this question? In the past have you spent long periods of time sitting on your traditional balcony? If yes, you’ll most likely hate IVs and if no, you’ll most likely love them due to the extra space
I made 8:47am yet went to the ships self carry line early to be near the front of the line, have airline status (curb side is an option for those without status) and clear which allows cut even pre-check
It should also be said that even carnival has offered lobster and filet at least one night per sailing for well over a decade so this is nothing new. Also for well over a decade, that Carnival allows you order for an up charge a filet and/or lobster at most restaurants.
The only recent change are that some cruise lines are charging for multiple entrees and/or a second lobster tail
Of the many recent X sailings we’re taken, once on board there are always spa appts available along with spa girls being “posted” in the front of the spa and/solarium.
Cant say the same for specialty restaurants, 15 night Millie sailing at 37% capacity, no specialty restaurant reservations available at 8pm or earlier. Walk by them at 7pm and half the tables are empty
I’ll bite, why did you pick that time to land? If you land at 2am, I’d imagine after baggage claim, transportation and check-in, it would be around 3am before you can hit that sack. If you’re coming from overseas, unfortunately your body clock will most likely be messed up
