  1. On my next two sailings, Summit in a couple more and the Eclipse a month later, both only show "Braised Short Rib of Beef", no filet any night. No lobster offered either
  2. Try Virgin Voyages if you want good food
  3. Disclaimer, we do sailings on X, other cruise lines like carnival, one week in an AI in Mexico and weekend getaways in non-AI hotels/AirBnBs. We have never sailed on VV or RCI and plan to do one or both this year and probably wouldn't have if X met our food expectations Speaking of food, 95% of the complaints are food related and like it or not, complaining works as X did increase the dinner buffet selections. We were told on the Solstice this past Feb that Ribeye and Prime rib were gone from fleet; while we're sure it wasn't on the menu on that sailing, we weren't sure if it was fleetwide so am not sure if they brought that back but did have it in March. Therefore, the only way to manage our expectations on X, is to expect that our next sailing will have more cut backs than our last sailing and that's sad Some of us, myself included, got excited to hear there's a new CEO which gave us a sliver of hope they could possibly improve the food quality but now with the cake cut backs, sounds like it will be the status quo. Have been on 14 sailing since the restart, we have not seen a single improvement to the food quality Enjoyed your write up and do not consider you a cheerleader if for no other reason than mentioning the price is a factor. Thanks to the cutbacks, I may have a somewhat negative view but I do respect peoples constructive opinions. The comments I don't respect are from the actual cheerleaders who say something like "the foods great, quit being picky, its your fault you can't find anything you like"
  4. It's just too "basic" to answer the OPs question with a simple "Yes." 😎
  5. Problem is you don't know for sure until two nights before sailing. I was on the Solstice in Feb and the Prime Rib, wellington and ribeye were completely gone. It seems wellington is still gone but they brought back the Prime Rib and Ribeye. Also some ships seemed to have move the prime rib from the first night to the last night
  6. Can't the app/IT's fault, the person who updates seems to do it in piecemeal, add a few things today and remove a few things next week
  7. I'll rephase, ask this in your roll call. Hopefully between here and your roll call you'll receive the response you're looking for
  8. Yes, they always come with the reg. sailing points
  9. If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself...
  10. Totally agree; X is at least confirming, as of today at least, there are no updates
  11. As I'm sure most know, alcohol is handled differently than other contraband as they deliver it on the last day. Most of those items you see on the contraband desk were from people who carried on as the embarkation terminal XRay folks seem to get just about anything
  12. You don’t want lobster? You should go on my next celebrity sailing and sit with us at a shared table
  13. Many of us wish we had your palate. Thanks you sharing your opinion, many on here have the exact opposite opinion
  14. Ha ha...Ask everyone "Where are you from?" No matter how they answer, respond: "That's great, I hear there are a lot of vegans up there, are you or anyone else you're here with one of them?" 😅
  15. You just found a "hack"! Sit at a shared table and cross your fingers someone at the table doesn't order lobster 🙃
  16. You have to call in to stack both the pre-sail discount of usually 14%-15% off for the internet and status discount of 30% for Elite. It appears Celebrity's software cannot recognize status and apply the corresponding discount online Def buy a specialty dining package, if you're on a typical 7 night sailing get a 3 pack as you won't regret it If you can carry on wine, drink in the casino, drink during happy hour, drink when in the ports and charge a few drinks to the room daily and you probably won't need the drink package which is quite expensive. Also you can carry on liquor, there's a slim chance it'll get to your stateroom when you board but it will be delivered to you on the last afternoon What "amenities" do you receive on RCI?
  17. There's also frequency... 50Hz is used in many parts of the world, including Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and most countries in South America. Some examples of countries using 50Hz include the United Kingdom, Germany, France, China, India, South Africa, and Brazil 60Hz is the standard frequency used in North America, Central America, parts of South America (such as Colombia and Ecuador), Japan, and some Caribbean countries
  18. I would imagine the op already thought of this…Will it take up too much room in their luggage and at worse, cause them pay additional baggage fees?
  19. Absolutely, my bigger gripe parroted by the waitstaff including recently on the beyond in blue recently is the same tails; waiters often say “they’re small, shall I bring you two?”
  20. If you want the more luxurious Maine lobster, book RCI, if you want lesser Spiny lobster, book X
