We just got off the Miraviglia. We had fantastica experience and was assigned a dining time of 6pm. A little too early for us so on embarkation we went to the dining room to get the time changed. It was a very long line and we waited almost an hour. When it was finally our turn the only later times were 8pm or later. We took the 8pm but the dining room actually opened at 7:45pm or you can get there by 8:30pm so you can see either the early show or late show in the theater. Also ask for a two top at the end of the row so you are not between two tables.

We just got off the Miraviglia and saw the paid Rock Circus in the Carousel Lounge. Our ship also had rough waters but they managed to do the aerial moves and dancing. It was a great show but with the ship rocking, a few sips of that rum drink they gave out and the blasting music and neon lighting, I was hoping nothing from dinner would come back up.

We got off yesterday. Was traveling with another couple from southern NJ. The Verazzano Bridge was closed so we took the BQE to the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel, (now called the Hugh Carey Tunnel), then the Holland Tunnel to the NJ tpke. Traffic leaving the port was fine and the only backup was entering the Holland Tunnel.

Glad that Ted is feeling better. We spoke to him briefly at the meet and greet and seemed like a very nice guy

We went to see the show Encore last night in the theater and it was literally one if the ɓest shows I have ever seen in 14 cruises. Don't miss it.

We leave tomorrow on the MSC Miraviglia for 11 days. I just paid the final payment for the Venezia yesterday.

Several years ago I had a similar incident. I bit into a bagel on board and my fairly new implant broke. I was trying to be careful but stuff happens. It was next to the front teeth so very visible and had to go several more days on the ship. Very embarrassing. When I finally got to my dentist he only charged me $500 for a bone graft and put a new implant in. I did have to wait another 6 months for the completion

We also will be on the Panorama in April/May. We can pick two flights back to NYC. One at 2:15pm and another at 4:15pm. How bad can traffic be on a Saturday? The 4:15 pm won't get us into NYC until after midnight which is pretty inconvenient.

Did Patti see smoked salmon(lox) anywhere on the buffet?

Last February we were on NCL Getaway 5 day cruise to Bermuda. Never got there because of weather. Had to stop in Nassau from 9:30pm to 3:30am. Most never left the ship.

I also heard MSC Musica was also evacuating people to Cypress.

I just asked hubby to bring suitcases up from basement though nothing will go into them until 2 days before.

We were eligible and got first responders OBC for our cruise back in Nov. 2022. Do they still have it?

Yes. The Carnival Panorama. It is suppose to arrive at 9am but I am reading some horror stories on FB that it is coming in as late as 11:30-12 and people are missing their flights.

We have to fly out of LAX on a Saturday, May 4, 2024. Would a 2:15pm time on United be good? The next time is 4:15pm but it won't get to NJ until after midnight.

Enjoying your report. Two questions. Does the seafood place in the buffet become an asian buffet at lunchtime like on some other ships? And as for golf cart rentals, I looked on line and only found a place that is about a 15 minute walk from the cruise pier. Are you saying there are rental companies at the pier or much closer?

We also rented a car from Budget but our problem is our stop is from 1 to 9pm on the MSC Miraviglia at terminal 10. We have to return the car before 6pm (closes on a Friday). I've heard that you can possibly wait over an hour for the shuttle to pick you up and return you to the port so I'm thinking of cancelling this rental because of the tight timeline. Any thoughts?

Jamie. My husband just watched a video about the ship and they said it was very loud and crowded everywhere. Are there places you remember that are less crowded and less noisy? I don't want to spend all my time on my balcony LOL.

That's just it. I read the T&C for the 20,000 points on their mastercard and found it very ambiguous. So I called Barclays and spoke with an agent who didn't speak English very well. According to her I can charge anything for any amount and get the points. I have final payment on a cruise at the end of this month. I had already purchased gift cards from AARP to pay off this cruise but still had a small balance under $100. I asked if this would be an acceptable charge and she said yes. I hope she's right. If I get the points I plan to convert them to OBC for this cruise in February.

Does the charge have to be for a Carnival purchase or can you purchase anything?

Me and my husband are in our mid 70's. He is very fit. Me, not so much. Last year we were on another cruise line and decided to try the UTV excursion in Aruba because we had plenty of OBC to cover it. There was no age or weight limit but they did make us sign waivers to cover their a$$'s. It was a once in a lifetime grueling excursion but I would never do it again.

We have checked in on our computer for our October 25th cruise. I didn't see anywhere to download a photo so I asked in my group and they said you can do it on the app. I did see a blank circle on the app and assumed it was for a photo but when I pressed it nothing happened. Is there a special place for a photo or should I just wait to be photoed on embarkation?

Last February we were on a 5 day NCL cruise to Bermuda. They didn't tell us u til we got to the pier that Bermuda was cancelled and that we would go to Nassau instead from 9pm to 3am. We had no option to cancel. So it turned out for us a cruise to nowhere because we weren't getting off at that time.
