  1. And what does that have to do with Carnival?
  2. Perhaps it might make sense to rent a scooter for your husband?
  3. I've been to wine tastings where the sommelier tells us about the wine, what to expect, etc. Other than the dessert wine being sweeter, I don't taste any difference in any of the wines. They all taste the same to me. Needless to say, I choose to not partake.
  4. Considering how many people complain when circumstances occur that the priest misses the sailing, I'd say important.
  5. In addition to your roll call, you should also look at the ports of call boards for your ports. Just know that at this point, most excursions are probably already booked/filled so it might be difficult to find something.
  6. I'm not surprised about the Luminae menu repeating. I expect the MDR and Blu will be too since it's technically a different cruise.
  7. I cannot answer the question as to whether or not you require a visa, or whether or not the Virgin staff gave you correct information. All I'm saying is that if a visa is required, and you do not have one at embarkation, you won't be getting on the ship.
  8. You won't be allowed on the ship in the first place if you don't have the proper visas, if necessary.
  9. NCL does not allow any beverages to be brought on board, outside of wine which will have a corkage fee (though I believe it is waived if you have a drink package).
  10. When is the cruise? This probably won't be known until closer to sail date, or possibly not until you are on the ship.
  11. If there are cabins directly below, the treadmills might be closed off....
  12. You might wish to ask this on the ports of call boards.
  13. I see no PVSA violation here. However, if Canadian immigration assesses HAL a fee to process you (debarking versus a port stop are different formalities) they can pass the cost on to you.
  14. Just make sure to select the one with the blue checkmark.
  15. I would not want to be in a situation where I needed internet access and there wasn't any due to location/tech issue/etc.
  16. The ban on cruises to nowhere actually has nothing to do with the PVSA/Jones Act (simplifying). US Immigration determined that the crew would require a different type of visa if the ship didn't actually go anywhere than what they have currently. This was based on a casino cruise company trying to use the same visa that cruise ship crew have for their few hour trips (versus multi day).
  17. John Heald just posted that the debate won't be shown in any public spaces.
  18. You can post to John Heald's Facebook page a few days before your cruise and he will pass the request on.
  19. I'd say you're good to leave your towel on the chair in this case. The OP was asking about putting a towel on a chair, then heading to breakfast. In which case, they were not ready to utilize the chair. If you are in the vicinity, ie in the pool/hot tub, then, IMHO, you are utilizing your chair.
  20. HAL and other lines will call it a privacy concern that they won't reveal if a large group is booked. However, the real reason is the reason you stated, had you known, you wouldn't have booked. That leaves a half empty ship.
  21. I would suggest discussing this with a doctor.
  22. Generally speaking, the wheelchair/disabled seats are always in the back.
  23. There may be a rule against bottles, you may want to double check.
