  1. With all the horrible pictures that we are seeing in the Fort Lauderdale area on TV and more rain in the forecast has anybody been affected by the weather conditions down that way? It looked like it was going to be close for the weekend cruise turnarounds. Hoping for the best for everybody that has travel plans.
  2. never been a problem in the past that I have been aware of. Never had a mass of it the size of the U.S. either that i know of.
  3. On Oasis last month they had awesome entertainment every night in Central Park. So relaxing to be out there. Dinner in Giovannis was great outside as well with the music playing.
  4. I can tell you what has helped my wife with these issues in the past and she swears by it. she wears one sea band during the cruise the whole week. (2 if rough) When back on land she wears them (both wrists) for a few more days and has had no issues since doing it.
  5. Have to say it was tough to top sailing into Bora Bora. So much to do there as well if you love the water and nature in general.
  6. I’ll give it a try the next time I find an American cleaning my room on a cruise. The candy will be rotted or melted by the time that happens.
  7. Love the Suite lounge on this class for the view alone. Bring a 6 pack with you for off hours.
  8. P.S. like most of us on this board we also do all of the above. Its common sense, right?
  9. oooookaaay. Cant tell if you happy, sad, or angry with this post. Have a Hershey bar and get back to me.
  10. Its all part of the "save the seas" program. As half of today's Windjammer buffet gets gets dumped into the ocean as I type. 😉
  11. Kraken is the key for a good flouter!! Labadoozies seem to be premade on the ship, frozen and thrown in a cooler. they scoop it out and throw it into a plastic cup. Thats how they serve them on Labadee anyways. Not a fan of how they serve them.
  12. Thats why I started the topic, to see what everyone does for fun. Hopefully everyone else interprets it that way. There is no "right way" to thank the employees for great service. I just wanted to hear about other "unique ways" people thank them for a better cruise experience.
  13. Jill and I 5 years ago started a tradition of buying a box of 36 Hershey bars at BJ's to bring on each of our cruises. Jill brings colorful ribbon and we give them out with our tips during the week. We usually start the first day with 4 candy bars and a $20.00 bill for our cabin attendant. We stack the candy bars, fold a 20.00 dollar bill on the top and wrap the colored ribbon at the middle. I put my finger down so Jill can tie it tight and then she curls the ribbon to make it look fancy. We will do this 3-5 times a week depending on how the week goes with our cabin attendant. We do this for our favorite waiters, bar tenders, spa attendant, concierge...during the week. THEY ALL LOVE IT!! Sometimes its a 5.00 dollar bill, a 10.00 dollar bill or a Twenty. The candy bars with the ribbon gives it that "personal touch" that they really love and will always remember. Jill and I always tell our Cabin attendants we are going to spread the word on what we do so that more cruisers will do this in the future and they laugh. By all means we would love to see everybody use this idea in the future to show their appreciation to a cruise employee that made your cruise that much more special. We would love to hear everyone's "Personal Touches" that they bring on their cruises. Dan
  14. We were on Oasis a few weeks ago and almost did it for our scheduled San Juan stop. Our opinion was we were so glad we didnt do it. Most were not used and we didnt feel they are placed in very good spots. More negatives than positives for us. Sea days were more filled but foot traffic seemed a problem. At one spot we saw a "drink vender" camped out for quite some time serving drinks right at their Casita. Just our observation and opinion.
  15. What do you mean? Diamond on MSC will get you 4 fountain drink passes and a Bologna sandwich daily.
  16. Let me know what you find. Maybe Ill pack a rake.
  17. The way pricing has been heading lately I find it unlikely that you will find any "bargains"
  18. That bad taste in your mouth was a mud cookie. My wife and I will be there on the 21st. We will take one for the team and grab a few items. I will report back if we are able to make through on our own.😉.
  19. (MUD COOKIE) The taste has been described as a smooth consistency that immediately dries the mouth with a pungent aftertaste of dirt that lingers for hours. No Thank You.
  20. I remember seeing them on Anthem on a cruise but really have not gone out of the way to obtain them. I do remember thinking they were very handy.
