In May, going on British Airlines to London from Toronto airport, I got my vaccination papers out to show the counter lady. She never asked for them, I said to her you don't need to see them, her reply was "I can see you are ok". We did not need to wear masks as Britain was not wearing them.

How big are their cars/vans? There are 5 adults, 10 checked luggage, 5 carry on, really don’t know if everyone will bring 2 checked yet. Ship arrives in at 6am. We are staying overnight at Hilton Rome Airport attached to the airport. Any idea what the last time they make you leave the ship? Is it 9 or 9:30? What tip did people give? Or, in Italy they don’t tip?

Thanks. In 2019, we took the Athens HOHO bus. Princess canceled the only excursion I was interested. I thought we might just do HOHO that does around the port at €15.

Anybody know if the Hop On Hop Off stops at Princess dock?

When Elite had 150 free minutes, I never used them all up. The day before disembarkment day, I would be in the Internet Cafe doing my boarding pass. There would be others asking how much it would cost to use the computer to the same as me. I would ask them if they wanted to use my minutes to check in and print their boarding pass. They were so happy for the offer.

I purchased the London Pass with Oyster card my first visit to London. They list many, many places to visit. You can only visit so many places in a day. I felt we did not get our money worth buying the London Pass. Check the attractions listed and see what you want to visit. Go to the attractions website and calculate the entrance price and see if it is worth it purchasing the London Pass. I found we did save time having the London Pass at the Tower of London as there was a long line to purchase tickets. On our next visits, I used the London Pass to find places we wanted to visit. I would go to the website of the place we wanted to visit and pre purchase their tickets online. I did purchase the Oyster card for each of us, maybe £20 each. I had enough leftover for our part of my next visit. When it was low, I added more £ to it at a store.

Send in Military documents. I think OBC shows up until 90 days around final payment in my account? Do you receive a email that your Military documents have been accepted as cruise is not until November?

From looking on some recent “Live Thread” that posted menus, Princess has replace Fettucine Alfredo with lasagna.

On Princess ships there are computers and printers in the Internet Cafe on each ship. The Internet Cafe Manager is there at certain hours to help, check the Patter for times. You have to have WiFi (Plus, Premier, purchased separate, for the day) to check in on your flights on your phone or a computer in the Internet Cafe. You can use the computers and printers in the Internet Cafe for WiFi to do your check in and to print your boarding pass.

I have stayed 4x at Premier Inn Waterloo and in Southampton 5x and Dover 2x The Premier Inn Country Hall is across a small cement plaza from the Premier Inn Waterloo hotel. Premier Inn Waterloo- entrance is street level, on a I would not call a Main Street ( maybe more cars, could not hear them), closer to stores. Premier Inn County Hall - few steps up to the entrance, less busy street (I think the building is at a dead end street), closer to London Eye. A few minutes closer to HOHO bus, Thamas river. Both have A/C, elevators, restaurant, bar. I would take Premier Inn Waterloo if cheaper as you are only there to sleep. Less than 3 minutes you are at Premier Inn Country.

I had used National Express Coach at LHR terminal 5 & 2. First time the main terminal, I sat on a bench and I keep looking up at the board to see Southampton name. It was close to the time, could not see any Southampton so there was a person at information. She said you have know the last stop. The last time, not the main terminal. You go out of the airport, there are signs with numbers for the National Express. No persons to help. The each bus goes to the first empty space. When a bus would come and driver exited the bus, I would ask if it went to Southampton. I have used it a few times when going to Southampton.

On sea days, we always go to the dining room for breakfast, so quiet.

I used www.justairports.com from LHR to my London hotel. Use hotel’s postal code to get a quote. I stayed at Premier Inn Waterloo (Westminster) 5x. Hotel has restaurant, bar, close to Hop On Hop Off bus, regular bus, 2 tube stations, Waterloo train station, restaurants, pubs, stores, grocery store, London Eye, Big Ben, Thamas river, Parliament, Westminster Abbey. If going to Southampton on cruise day, check out www.internationakfriend.co.uk , under Shore Excursion & Transfer. They pick up from certain London hotels, stopping at Stonehenge then dropping off at the Southampton dock.

My friend drove the airport shuttle. He was tipped in Canadian $ and US $. He saved his US$ until he had enough to exchange. Anyone working in the tourist industry, will save the money until they have enough to exchange. One cruise, we visited 4 different ports with all different currencies. I purchased a small amount in each currency. I never used any of it. I lost money with the 2 exchange rates as I had not planned on going to those countries again.

Can you name your excursion?

We will be on a cruise roundtrip from Rome. We plan on taking a car service to our hotel. We want the last time to exit the ship. Any one know the last disembarkment time - 9, 9:30 or later?

I found out with National Express Coach, they put the last stop on the Coach sign so you need to know the last stop to get on the correct coach. I also asked the driver if this is the Coach to Southampton.

I keep a paper copy of my vaccinations with my papers (ship summary, excursions, itinerary, invoice) for the cruise.

The longer the cruise less kids on them. Take a cruise when kids are in school, less kids. You will always have some kids, toddlers, home schooled , parents take kids out of school. I am a senior. I have been on Princess, Celebrity, Holland, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian. I prefer Princess.
