Our return flight leaves at 5:30 pm from Seattle.  The ship arrives in the port at 6:00 a.m.  is it possible to be on the last group to leave the ship?  Hanging out in the airport all day is the pits.

I would use the free Port Valet service. Then make your way to the space needle. Chihuly Garden and Glass is real nice. Seattle waterfront is nice also. Then take light rail to SeaTac from downtown Seattle.

  2. If you are moving from a AquaClass to a Sky Suite. You keep the package (WiFi, classic drink package and tips) You Will have free drinks in The Retreat. Your auto tips will increase. Outside of The Retreat you will have the CDP, even when dining in Luminae.

Are you moving from a AquaClass to a Aqua Sky Suite? If you are, you will get additional spa privileges.

  3. We have cruised different cruise lines. So far Celebrity is my favorite. We cruise mostly in suites. We have not sailed on the higher end cruise lines, reason dress code. Been to over 75 countries. We only have a few areas of the world we have not cruised. So our cruising is more about the ship than where we are going. I canceled 3 of our 4 cruises in suites for this year. 2 of them were repeats cruises. I'm hoping Celebrity food issue will get better by Sept. I dont like the Edge Class ships. If I do a 7 night cruise it must be west coast or Alaska.

I think it has been.  When sold together as a family suite all passengers in both rooms get Retreat benefits.  Of course they pay for it as the inside is sold at a much higher price in that configuration.

1st you need a good TA. It is my understanding the E Class family suites (sky suite and inside or sky suite with balcony) need to be linked together and booked together on the same credit card. Also get the information in writing from Celebrity.

We overheard someone asking the Maitre d of Luminae if they could bring in a guest.  Answer was No.  Luminae For suite guests only.

We then overheard a couple discussing this and their perspective was if non suite guests are allowed in for a fee, then Luminae and Blu become nothing more than a specialty restaurant anyone can use.

While we have not invited non suite guest to Luminae, our nephew was invited. When it comes to Blu. I have not heard of guests to being invited by a Aqua Class guest. Suite guest my use Blu on space available really comes down to the Maitre d. This is one of Celebrity's problem. Celebrity is consistent with being inconsistent. Another issue has been unable to order off the MDR menu in Blu or Luminae on the M and S Class ship. Just because the Maitre d said no.

Look at all that FOOD.  Photo shot before all the cutbacks obviously.  So was she eating her breakfast at the desk because the revolutionized Hoppen balcony table was too small???🤣

Here is what we got on Edge for a table in a sky suite. Celebrity, Relaxed Luxury back in 2019.IMG_20190305_142125093.thumb.jpg.94a02f8a92e8a71fc7baaa2bc253f4af.jpg

  7. We have over 30 cruises with Celebrity. We have done 4 cruises on Celebrity since fall of 2021. We were in Aqua or Suites. Both cruises in Aqua were great. Our Sep 2022 cruise we were in a suite. My thoughts on Luminae was that I must be cruising in suites to much. The food just is not as good as last June on Millie. I did get a very nice one inch thick Prime Rib and it was great.

I informed our TA that we were canceling our South American cruise for April. I got a final notice the other day for our May cruise. I informed our TA we were canceling May and Dec cruises. We are keeping our Sep 2023 cruise. It is a cruise we have not done before.

It just does not seem like a good time to cruise. We had done the SA cruise before. Same with our New England cruise in May. Our Dec cruise is LA to Chile.

What we were doing instead. January we did a land vacation to an inclusive resorts in Playacar, Mexico. April going to Las Vegas to see Patti LuPone. June to see friends living in Turks and Caicos. Dec we will visit friends in England for Christmas.

I'm hoping 2024 will be a better year for Celebrity.

  8. We sailed last June on Millie Seward to Vancouver BC. I  rented a car for the 4 of us. We stayed 2 nights in Seward before boarding Millie. One way car rental added $250 to the cost. You have 3 options. Car rental, bus or train. Celebrity should have a train transfer that ends downtown Anchorage.

  9. We had 4 Celebrity cruises booked for this year all in suites. I canceled our South American cruise to go to Playacar, Mexico instead. We had a great time. Over the years we have done many cruises with Celebrity. I cruise more for ship and food than where the ship is going.

We have now decided to cancel 2 more Celebrity cruises booked for this year. We will only do 1 cruise this year in Sept.

We are now going to England for Christmas. We want to do the Christmas Markets and a pantomime.

I want to give Celebrity time decide what type of cruiseline they want to be.

  10. The train is running again between Seattle and Vancouver. You can take Quick Shuttle service from SeaTac airport. Traffic on i5 can get bad between Seattle and Vancouver BC. The Bellingham, WA airport is closer to Vancouver. Seattle to Vancouver takes me normally about 3 hours.
