Just off Summit in Aqua Sky Suite 6145 and would not book again.  Butler Pratik was awesome as was suite attendant.  Bathroom was spacious with separate shower and two sinks but no where to put your 'stuff' in there, very tight on counter top and slight half shelf filled with towels, hair dryer, etc. underneath.  Location was great but in our opinion we would not book this again due to storage.  Very weird.  We were on for 9 nights and needed multiple layering of clothes.

Two and half cubbies, two drawers and one small closet on right as you enter.  One other drawer in the funky entryway and one more set of shelves in the cabinet under the TV.  TV did not swivel toward the little thing they call the couch, it faced the bed.  It was a connecting room to PH and I know better than to book connecting room, unless there are peeps I know in the connecting room.  Small table near 'couch' and while there was a larger balcony, not comfortable, all metal furniture.

This is our opinion and for the money, better cabins can be had.

ASS 6145 and 6146 are different than the other sky suites. Other sky suites only have one sink. No separate shower. Personally I would only book those suites if I need more room in the PH or I knew the guests in the PH. X has removed the player piano from the PH's on the Summit and Millie. Thank Kelly Hoppen for the furniture.

My pet peeve is chairs without armrests. Not that I need them to get out of the chair. It is more about comfort and somewhere to put my arms. The kicker is on the Edge in a sky suite. The chair for the small deck has armrests, but with the armrest on the chair you could not slide the chair all the way in.

We were in a Celebrity Suite in March and IMO not worth the $$.  Our next cruise we are going to be in a Sunset Sky Suite on Reflection.

Was your Celebrity Suite on the M Class or S Class ship. I remember something about M Class Celebrity Suite. That the balcony was not on the original build. What I like about M Class is that most of the suites are in the same area on deck 6.

  3. Within the app you can change the sailing date. Eclipse starts cruising out of Vancouver BC on May 21st. The menus should be the same for the whole Alaska season. I just checked and Celebrity has not listed the menus yet on the app for May 21st. Even after I updating the app. You would think that X would have the menus listed as it is less than a week away.

  4. We did not have any problems last year on BA Sea-Lhr. I'm looking now to book Sea to Lhr for Christmas. We fly BC, the cost to reserve seats are over $100 pp per flight. Some seats cost more than others. 1st Class seat assignment is included in airfare.

The end of Jan we met up with friends in Mexico. Their BA non stop flight from Gatwick was delayed at least 6 hours. On their way home, BA had to put them up in a hotel in Cancun. Problems at Gatwick. Then in April, BA London to Argentina. BA had more problems. BA moved them to a flight a day early, so BA had to pay for their extra night at their hotel in Argentina. While I prefer BA, we might go VA.

  5. As to the Aqua Sky Suites. We wont use the spa amenities that come with the suite. For myself it would be for location. Personally I like deck 6 on the M Class ships. Close to Luminae as they close by 9:30 for breakfast. The S Class ships the Aqua SS for us is a great location. Up one deck for snacks and under the carpeted area of the OVC. When it comes to pricing. M Class when I was looking to book a suite the Aqua SS were about $500 more pp. S Class the cost was about $1000 more pp. M Class, I might spend the extra money. S Class no way, with most SS under the OVC or all the way aft. We now book CS suite on the S Class ships. Video from Millie. The suite with the large balcony is 6132.

We just had it on the Eclipse.  When I posted I realized later that I should have mentioned that in the 14 day Luminae menu rotation it is on a menu after day 7.  So folks on seven night cruises may/most likely will not see it on the menu.

Thanks, we have been doing 7 night sailings since covid. We have a 11 night cruise booked for June 2024. Our next cruise I might ask in advance for the orb.

very nice.. did it include lobster?

dh is allergic...too much food just for me

Allergic to seafood or lobster? I dont remember their being lobster. I dont remember having to pay extra for the tower like the 1st time we ate at The Porch. There are food options without seafood. DH had a wrap. I think our starter was lobster bisque.

  8. We like to arrive about 11:30 to noon. Lunch in Luminae can be as early as 11:30. But, on our cruises Luminae seem to be open from Noon to 1:30.

I left my wallet at home once. I went home and got my wallet. Showing back up at 2pm. Checking in later was really nice.

  9. Q. Does everyone in my stateroom need to buy a Drink Package?

    A. Any guest wishing to purchase the Drink Package must do so for all other guests of legal drinking age in the same stateroom.

The following exceptions can be made, giving the guests the option of purchasing the Zero Proof package instead. Exceptions: • Children 12 years old and under: will NOT be required to purchase a Zero drink package. • Teens – A Zero Proof drink package will be added. • 13 -17 years old (Europe, Asia, Australia) • 13 - 20 years old (USA) • Pregnant guests – A Zero Proof drink package will be added. • Recovering alcoholic, religious request, or medical issue that doesn’t allow guests to consume alcohol. – A Zero Proof drink package will be added.

    Hi

thank you for the heads up but I believe based on 24 sailings that as the Hawaii sailing finishes in Vancouver this does not effect a B2B which ends in Seattle 😎

    Please check out this thread.

  11. I have heard of others getting off the ship in Victoria with a overnight bag. Flying (seaplane) to Vancouver BC and spending the night in a hotel. Spending the night in a hotel breaks the b2b. There is also a bus/ferry from Victoria to Vancouver BC.

Other option is to end your cruise in Vancouver and leave on one of the Celebrity ships out of Vancouver other than The Edge.
