Last night I got the phone call that I unfortunately was expecting. My dear friend Lois had fallen about a month ago and fractured her pelvis, and had been in the hospital since then. I called her son when I returned from our cruise last week to see how she was doing, and he told me she was now in Hospice, and didn't have much longer to live. Lois has been mine and Jim's friend since 2002, when she and her husband bought their Condo two months after we had bought ours. Lois turned 92 this past November, and had the sharpest mind and memory of anyone I have ever known. I will miss her phone calls, and our yearly visits down the New Jersey Shore.

Having the flu is no joke.😔 I've had it really bad twice in my adult life and it was miserable. I feel for you, Dani. I do hope you start to feel better quickly.🌹

I'm sorry you have the flu, Dani. I hope you feel better quickly. The flu is going around like crazy back in New Jersey. Some cases here in Naples, too.

I'm so glad that you and Marty have finally been able to do the trip of your dreams. There is no way that either Jim or I would do too well with sleeping on the floor. As much as you enjoy hiking, it sure was a smart move to stop where you did, and let Marty continue on. Thank you for sharing your trip with us. When do you board for your cruise?

I'm sorry you are in a noisy cabin.😔 You've got nothing to lose by going to Guest Services. They all are very nice there. Good luck; I hope it will get better for you.

We just got off Beyond this past Friday, Cabin 7199. No problems with noise, and I'm a light sleeper.

I am so sorry for what you and your husband had to go through on your cruise. I can't believe your room wasn't changed after that horrible unsanitary experience. I do hope your husband is okay.

Thanks Jane. I knew it was going to be hot and humid in Cartagena, and prepared for it by wearing a loose fitting, linen dress, but boy of boy! Also going through the Canal, we would open our infinite veranda window to look down at the water levels, and the entire room steamed up, so we'd have to close the window, then open it again once the room cooled down, etc. Great experience going through the Canal, though!

@firefly333 I love grey, Jane! All of our bedrooms are grey, both in our home in NJ, as well as in our Condo here in Florida. When will you be making the "big move"?

Aw, it almost looks like Eva is praying! We had a great cruise, but boy, was it very hot and humid!!! Phew!
