  1. I would think they post these transactions after leaving port. There are other examples of this. I guess it is safest to ask first if any additional taxes are going to be added.
  2. I was going to suggest you fire his ass and cancel the booking and re-book with someone else. Wish I could give you mine.
  3. This booking behavior on Princess.com has been reported many times since earlier this year. Your TA or a Princess CVP can make a booking for two in a Deluxe Balcony or Mini-Suite. IMO, this is a ridiculous play by Princess and I actually thought it was an IT bug when it first began, but it seems to be deliberate at this point and I scratch my head over the inanity of it. I wish someone would post a reason PCL has done this, but not sure if anyone has asked their CVP about it. ETA: If you want to self-book, you need to add a fake 3rd person (like a family member) and then remove them later on (at least prior to FP Date).
  4. You can certainly use your OBC to pay for SD bookings. However, you need to book on board for that payment option. The only thing you can spend OBC on pre-cruise is Princess excursions.
  5. You can just order what you want. No need to waste unwanted items. Several folks with Premier have reported doing this on the ships.
  6. This is quite irrelevant 10.5 months later. This matter was settled ages ago. The old packages get the new drink price limit but not the new "goodies".
  7. Where did you see this? I doubt the price has gone down.
  8. Someone resurrected this thread with what I consider a silly question (obviously you cannot "prove" what happened, but I am taking your word for it and lots of people are unaware of changes PCL makes until a long time after regulars on here know about it). But I am wondering if you did pursue this with PCL and did you get a resolution?
  9. Must have done that sooner in Toronto than out my way in "the 905". We could still get plastic bags at least until last Winter. May have ended last Dec 31, or sometime while we were in FL for Winter. That said, we had been using the new type of bag for sometime. Whole Foods was still using paper bags and I always liked Longo's plastic bags as they were high quality - miss them a bit for garbage bags. we downsized our kitchen garbage frame and bag size due to all the recycling and green binning. I do recall buying a bunch of Longo bags when I thought they were going to disappear. It seems most clothing stores still provide a bag as I think they like the advertising as people walk around with them.
  10. Huh? The end result is not at all the same between Plus Cruise Fare package and standalone Plus Beverage Package. That said, they can certainly be booked on board. I would do that option for sure if I had to pay full price. In my case, I'd do it with one of my two TA's of choice as I would get a good discount.
  11. They used to do Zumba on the Lido in the mornings. Now everything but dinner is in the Piazza it seems. If you cannot tell by now from my posts - LOL - this is maybe my biggest peeve on board Princess now.
  12. I think more of us need to seek out and complain directly to the CD/ED about this. You could also try asking the tech in the Piazza running the sound system.
  13. I have written on this topic here more than once. More importantly I have spoken with a CD/ED about it on one ship when ran into them. The guy said he's always after the young sound guys to not go overboard. But clearly they want the party atmosphere. I also have mentioned it on post-cruise surveys. But clearly they don't listen to little old me since nothing has changed. Perhaps the new Sun Class will be different since they have that theater in the round concept. But I am not holding my breath. The Piazza/Atrium was never built to have loud music pumped up and bouncing all over the place.
  14. Welcome to CC. If this is your biggest problem with Princess, I think they have a happy customer.
  15. I always love reading about posters who get the good resolution I feel they can and should get. Best to you and safe travels.
  16. PCL announced UK, Australia, NZ are coming for home delivery. Canada (and perhaps Mexico) was to come first and has been implemented. Now, PCL was promising Canada almost two years before it actually happened, so don't hold your breath in the UK. Maybe by new year it will be ready? YGIAGAM.
  17. And you will get a shipping rebate. It does cost 50% more to ship to Canada but IDK if you get $15 credit on board or just $10. Some guests have been reporting getting back $10 EACH.
  18. Yes, if you pre-purchase Plus/Premier and have travel insurance, you have to pay the premium on the Plus/Premier plan. I see it's 8% here. The insurance rate has gone up to 9%. Of course there is another advantage to wait to order on board. You don't pay the insurance premium. Several members have posted on this forum about delaying until on board to save the insurance and be able to use some OBC. Not sure why you are dodging the insurance. Have not heard that before.
  19. Is your TA giving you a discount off the standard $60/pp/day? Otherwise, you can order your Medallion and order the package on board Day 1 if you want it. You will get $10 OBC back for the shipping which is a good deal. Also, any OBC you have can go towards paying for Plus.
  20. You should be able to order Medallion to home for the Galveston cruise and pay the shipping.
  21. I was about to write similar. Agree with Post #2 - it's up to the guest to cover themselves from loss.
  22. I agree. There was no reason for the OP to be secretive. Knowing the itineraries means the correct answer can be given without a lot of ifs ands and buts. 😉
  23. Better to be proactive as PCL will not cancel guest immediately. I believe there is some grace period in order to reach out to guest and see if overlooked payment. If booked with a TA, they will most certainly bug you about it.
