  1. You will not pick up a new Medallion (unless you want them to make you a new black to replace the gray one). You just carry on with initial Medallion. You will receive detailed instructions on board during first leg as to what to do for second leg. Enjoy your free minibar.
  2. The Grand Marnier Souffle should be featured one evening at dinner. Has been my experience - save perhaps once.
  3. Not that we have a huge number of PCL cruises, but only seen fire doors closed once. I think when a lot of B2B'ers, they need to leave passageways accessible so those folks can get to their cabins. Never had an issue dropping off bags and leaving right away. Door closed/locked.
  4. 1. You the good answer in Post #4. 12 bottles for ~$7. You can order more than one if inclined. 2. I would advise taking bottle back to cabin with you. Otherwise, a PITA waiting for it while new waiters run around to fetch it. Besides, you never know when you might want a glass. Better yet, open and have a glass before going to dinner.
  5. No point in going to GS. All they will do is refer you to DINE line or the SD venue. Best thing for you to do, @lakegirl16, is call DINE line from cabin when you board or go right to the venue and speak with someone there (there is usually someone there on embarkation day).

  7. I often wonder why old threads get hauled out of oblivion. When it comes to the tech and app and procedures, things change and what was in 2021 is not much relevant today. My suggestion is to start a new thread. There's another one with title suggesting PCL is moving to once-per-day cabin service by Stewart. This was debunked back when the thread started, but there it is again resurrected.

  9. I don't see the pricing levels out of whack. My guess is that no one is buying up the low inside categories - or many of the Insides and they have put a deep discount on the IF lead-in Category (which are the ones guests do not select). Could result in a nice cabin in the end. It's a gamble. Anyway, the answer is that they have put a deep discount on the IF's and not upped prices on other cabin categories. It you check Balconies, it is not as much of a difference from BF to whatever they have available to pick from. It's getting close to departure and they want to sell, sell, sell and fill, fill, fill those cabins.
  10. Who knows, but just wait and buy it on the ship. There is a time limit as to how close to sail date you can buy things, but I would think you are inside that. It won't cost you anymore on board and the App works so much better there. At this point, I'd say it's not worth the aggravation to try and resolve it.
  11. Me too. It's a new thing for next two summers. Great link for the OP to check on their own. It's probably so new, either PCL has not organized hotels, or no one has got around to updating the website. I'd call PCL and ask a CVP if they know anything. But I am in the camp of booking my own hotel.
  12. Read about it and see a somewhat dated video on Princess.com. Try Googling for more info and opinions. It is a quiet oasis with luxury-type loungers. On Royal Class ships, not a lot of shade.
  13. You missed my point completely. My note was about PCL analyzing what each guest orders - both alcohol and non-alcohol - which they can use no doubt to determine price points and such going forward.
  14. Where are you seeing this? PCL removed the Covid protocol notices some time ago. There is no Australia testing requirement.
  15. No, but it is gone from self-booking pages, A TA or Princess rep or Princess CVP can put a hold on.
  16. There may be no record the guest can see, but I bet PCL has detail data they can analyze.
  17. It is actually $8.50 for most of the pizzas. On some ships, there are a couple of "gourmet" pizzas offered at $12.
  18. @Radio, it has been some time since a guest posted a photo of the senior officers board on the Regal. If you happen to come across it on Deck 7, please snap and post a photo here which can be then added to the Ships Officers sticky thread. I will look for the photo and do it. Thanks.
  19. Not directed at you, but I don't understand why PCL doesn't label these partially obstructed when lifeboats are right below and yet they label mid-ship Deck 8 cabins as partially obstructed when the Promenade is just below.
  20. Nice of them to open the phone lines for free.

  22. Scanning the Medallion tells them all they need to know.
  23. I had no problem buying wine in Civi if that is your port of departure. Also, got some good prices at a duty free stand at FCO. I presume other places like BCN can work as well. I probably wouldn't be finding what I would want in Athens, however. I figure if I don't pre-buy the package and would fail on acquiring wine, I can always go a la carte on board or buy package if it made sense in such a situation. BTW, I do figure in if I have to pay corkage on all bottles (less 2 allowance), but I am finding I just don't have to pay corkage hardly at all anymore.
  24. When it was at $40/pp/day, we were sailing with friends and sharing a 4-device Medallion Net plan at $20/day, less 50%, so $2.50/pp/day. CA was $13.50 then. Total of $16, leaving $24 for drinks. Considering we get Elite mini-bar, so 10 beers and 10 Perrier, plus me bringing wine on board, just didn't spend the $24/pp/day on other beverages. It was close to me going for it though at times, I must admit. But never did.
  25. I know. I was just mentioning the cruise fare as well. Plus/Premier are part of the cruise fare if elected. Anyway, a CAD @ par deal would be quite valuable today.
