  1. the paid tour goes to the bridge and the platinum tour does not. thats how i usually remember it and what i noticed on my past cruises
  2. i am cruising on the venezia in two weeks and i got the same email for my cruise sailing out of New York
  3. Delta is 50 pounds for domestic flights and 70 pounds for international
  4. I also received the same email too. This is the first time I am seeing that you can not arrive early
  5. you will need to wait in line unless you get a nice person that will allow you to cut the line
  6. the cruise terminal does not weigh your luggage like the airports. the weight limit is a suggestion to help make it easier on the porter at the terminal that load the luggage on to the ship and the crew onboard the ship delivering the luggage to your room
  7. it is designed very poorly there is one single line for salad, soup, entrees, etc, etc if you do no want any salad, you still have to stand in that line
  8. most likely an airline issue. in the past i have received emails from an airline that my flight time was changed and the only that changed was a minute or two from the departure or arrival time
  9. i book as early as possible. thats when i noticed the lower cruise fares and then you can lock in at the older gratuities pricing for the drinks/dinning and room gratuities
  10. during the booking process you can uncheck/remove the drinks and dinning package. i do it all the time
  11. on a cruise a few years ago since i was solo they had seat me at the bar in the steakhouse. this was on the magic
  12. a few years ago i did a bermuda cruise in december out of NYC. The first and last sea days is cold and bermuda is warm
  13. i like when people post the contents of the article. there is way tooo many news sites that has a paywall or some other restrictions that make reading the article difficult
  14. i am booked on the breakaway to bar harbor next year. i wonder what is going to happen to me once the port limits ships
  15. not new. only unique to the excel class ships. not on other ships
  16. NCL ferry is further down the road from the public ferry. here is map:
  17. every ship, every port and every situation is different. if you need to do this go to guest services right away. do be aware that if they approve your early disembarkation you will be on your own for flights, hotel
  18. Choir of man has multiple multiple casts doing shows on other ships, on the west end, down under and else where. The cast that is on the ship will remain on the ship until their contract is over and then a new choir of man cast will join the ship
  19. Only on the Oasis/Quantum class ships and newer ships. Older ships do not need reservations.
  20. bottle of water needs to be picked up at a bar. it is possible to use the bottle in the mini bar area but that can cause headaches and issues with billing it correctly as the free bottle
  21. if cancel before the cruise, it is returned to the payment method if canceled onboard the ship, it is applied as refundable onboard credit
  22. The official amber cove cruise port website is https://ambercove.com/ and they have an up to date calendar on which ships dock at the amber cove port. There is no NCL ships docking in amber cove until January 2024
  23. Norwegian docks a few miles down the road at a port called Taino Bay. They are a few rare times when Norwegian docks at Amber Cove, this has happen last year when the Escape ran aground at Taino bay All of the unofficial cruise timetables website you see on google make it very confusing because both Taino Bay and Amber Cove is combined into one port that is commonly called just Amber Cove or also commonly called Puerto Plata
  24. big ships like the joy use pier 88, smaller ships like the gem sometimes use pier 90. overall its still the same cruise terminal: Manhattan cruise terminal . pier 88 is the common pier that is now used for all ships
  25. no. you go the mdr that is assigned to you. it is on the sail n sign card your time dinning and the seaday brunch is the Canal Grande
