  1. "2925 - MSC Lirica (Venice > Kotor > Mykonos > Santorini > Ancona > Venice)" That is certainly planning ahead! 🙂 We still have to book a cruise out of Venice (..or at least close to it..), I worked there for a couple of years but never had time to look around.
  2. We have done that in many countries, but in this case if I recall correctly we were given a bag to carry our shoes with us as due to the size of the site and a little remaining construction we would not be leaving the same way we entered.
  3. Agreed, which is what made our visit to the Hassan II mosque such a special event.
  4. The distinction is between the Chic night lobster in MDR and the up-charge lobster recently introduced and available every night in the MDR. If it was the up-charge version then charging for it in Luminae is reasonable, if it was the Chic night MDR lobster then charging is not reasonable. It wasn't clear in earlier posts, but if it was the night it was served as a normal main menu option in the MDR then I would say it was a mistake to charge for it...
  5. That is indeed a magnificent place to visit, we were fortunate enough to be there when it was virtually complete, but not yet in use, so we were able to be guided around all areas of the mosque, which would not have been accessible a couple of weeks later.
  6. Depends a little on which parking area they are using that day, but usually there is a separate van circulating to collect luggage, so you park and then walk across to the terminal building.
  7. It is a shared area for general use, and anything like that would monopolize the space. I would expect you to be politely asked to remove it.
  8. Looks like we dodged a bullet with that one as we are on the following sailing ...
  9. The sparkling water is the reason to want to downgrade to Zero proof I would have thought...
  10. Poor process is always going to be more likely than intentional delay, it just isn't worth the hassle of dealing with CC charge-backs to do this with deliberate intent.
  11. As far as I know it is one flat rate regardless of age, you are paying for a seat at the show so kids cost the same as adults no matter what they eat.
  12. No change, but if it was a 'move up' bid from a cruise only fare to a Sky Suite then you keep the drinks package you have, even if that is no package at all.... ... on the lower suites the drinks package is not an amenity of the suite, it is a perk of the booking...
  13. Charging the lower suites for what is in effect a speciality item can't really be considered a 'cutback', and if it only applies to the Sky Suite level and not Celebrity Suites then it would actually be an enhancement for the Celebrity Suites...
  14. We have been to Casablanca and Tangier on cruises and the only thing I'd say is that with a young baby, avoid the lengthy trip to Marrakesh if it is offered from Casablanca. Ceuta is not somewhere we have been and it covers a fairly small area of land before you would be going through a border crossing into Morocco, so on its own, I'm not sure I would be motivated to visit, but the other two are places I'm glad we were able to visit.
  15. Easily when the published rules make it very clear that the mini-bar is not part of the drinks package... We have had the same experience in the past, but now there is no butler to take stock from the Retreat to restock the room, the scope to work around the rules to deliver a better customer experience is pretty much eliminated.
  16. We were about 4 days into our Eclipse cruise in January this year, before we could see the menus, so you are doing well 🙂
  17. That was the old problem where it reflected the length of the current cruise on that ship. This does seem to have gone away as an issue with the recent app changes, but the consequence of not just copying the current cruise is there is a lot more that looks odd on the app until you get much closer to sailing it seems...
  18. Don't poke the bear! Even without them on the ship they will still want to load the bases so they can respond to last minute cancellations, rather than targetted removal of guests 🙂
  19. I did a little digging around looking at other cruises on Beyond and other ships. It looks like with the recent app update they have changed the way it handles future cruises and it isn't just copying the current cruise pattern any more. Beyond is missing any reference to lunch after the next couple of cruises, but Edge for example still has it listed for a couple of months out before it vanishes as you mentioned. It looks like they are trying to populate the future cruises with a more accurate pattern to match their itinerary, but the work is not yet complete. Keep an eye on that Beyond sailing on the 28th August, right now it shows no lunches after day 1, that should change before it sails as it does have sea days. I suspect the same will be true for your cruise...
  20. Relax, what you see in the app reflects the itinerary of the current cruise on that ship, so unless it has an identical itinerary the seas days will not align.
  21. If there is a Murano there is an Ensemble. That is the bar that provides for all the nearby restaurants so you should be good there.
  22. Not our experience, we recently booked a YC balcony for a cruise from Miami down to Panama in Feb '24, and the price came in only a little above the price for Aqua on an equivalent Celebrity cruise. They have stopped doing that, you get a bottle of spirits (or wine, your choice) these days, even on a short 4 day cruise. The Butlers will bring any alcoholic beverages you want though so most end up taking the bottle home...
  23. It will be good for the China home market for sure, but the Splendida sailings will not be offering the sort of round Japan cruises we are hoping for.
  24. Already answered further up the thread, just have to be careful referencing what are seen as competitive sites.
