  1. Seaside and Seascape are the only two confirmed so far (morpheus is on Seascape this week)
  2. Your deserts would be safe in the MDR as well, so no risk on that front 🙂
  3. This thread would stand a better chance of survival without the mention of where she saw the comment 🙂 Yes it has been confirmed on a couple of ships sailing out of US ports, not been mentioned elsewhere yet... Not sure if this is 'nickel & diming' or a waste reduction measure...
  4. Please don't use these on cruise ships they are unsafe as they present an increased fire risk due to the way the surge protection functions combined with the way the cruise ships deliver power to the cabins. You don't want the time they find out to be when they are putting out the flames...
  5. Still waiting to see it confirmed outside the US market though...
  6. ... the cost of the US travel insurance is high enough that they can afford to offer things like that without too many questions I suspect... ... same with 'cancel for any reason' cover which doesn't exist in the UK. We are just happy that we can get annual multi-trip cruise cover from our bank for under $25 a month with the equivalent of AAA and DragonPass+ lounge access all as part of the package (valid up to age 80)
  7. No, that went away at the end of the 'covid' price promise.
  8. That is odd for sure, but the dates they have around that cruise make no sense either so looks like an error on that site. Not currently seeing any similar changes on Celebrity...
  9. morpheus confirmed in on Seascape by asking at the MDR. I suspect the original thread on the MSC group got removed due to the reference to the source of the information, same may happen here if the admins notice...
  10. It was confirmed by someone currently on Seascape in another thread on the MSC forum.
  11. Just on the butler point, I'd put our butler, Elvin, from our June cruise on Divina, ahead of the Regent butlers we have had on previous cruises. A sample of one on MSC I agree, but he was very good indeed.
  12. It has been confirmed on Seascape as well as Seaside, but also confirmed it is not in YC. Waiting with interest to see if this is fleet-wide, or just the US based cruises...
  13. That confirms it is not just on Seaside then, I assume this indignity has not spread to the YC though ? 🙂 It will be interesting to see if this is global or limited to the US market...
  14. We boarded in Genoa recently, the ship had docked around 7am, we got there about 10:15 just as they were starting up the YC tent, had about a 30 min wait inside in a small lounge area where we were checked in, then we were escorted onboard and our cabin was ready. Assuming your ship docks at a similar time, you may find them not quite ready for you at 10am, but you should be able to board soon after.
  15. People were embarking in every port, but the difference I suspect is that it was the end of the TA.
  16. Not sure where you are going with this, but ... No, we started in Genoa as per the itinerary I listed, and ended our cruise in Siracusa. After Siracusa the ship continued on to Civitavecchia, before reversing the itinerary on the way back to Genoa.
  17. Genoa - Marseilles - sea day - Valletta - Siracusa
  18. I guess it is going to be a very moveable event on some cruises... We were on a short EU cruise in June and the Gala night was on the first sea day, which was the 3rd night and the last night for those departing in Malta.
  19. Unclear at the moment if the MSC MDR charge is fleet-wide or market specific, or an experiment... More clarity in the days ahead I'm sure.
  20. The Gala night(s) will be a sea day where possible, and in Europe at least, seem to lean towards 'glamorous party' rather than formal. Nobody will feel out of place though regardless of your choice.
  21. Was it obviously a mistake fare that you git the first time? ...how much more were they intending to rebook it at?
  22. In general I agree, but I try not to get there before the ship has arrived… 🙂
  23. The better question is when does the ship arrive in port?
  24. That looks like the wrong Chic night for the lobster, and it is missing the speciality items from each of the 4 MDR's ...
